Huge amount of natural resources like as oil and gas reserves.Objectives and goals (social, economic) Formulation of similar rules and regulations in various fields like as, religion, finance, trade, tourism etc. Joint venture in different projects. Planning to establish on currency in future. Combine scientific and research centers. To establish ties between the local people. Effect on food trade The food consumption increasing among GCC countries due to increase in population, foreign tourism and income level. The total food consumption will reach 49.1 million tones at the end of 2017. Due to increase in demand there may be in future result shortage of food in the GCC countries. Achievements & drawbacks The Qatar successfully launched Asian games 2006 and also host 2022 FIFA world which helps GCC countries toward economic growth. The Expo 2020 will be held in Dubai thats also effect positively on the economic developments, and employment opportunities. The main and important drawback of GCC countries is to more reliant on oil and gas reserves . Future goals and expectations To launch one monetary unit among the GCC countries. To build a railway network of 40,000 km before 2018, which cost $15.5 billion. Steps towards shifting economy to industrialization as compare to more reliant on oil and gas sector. The world cup 2022 and expo 2020 will be held in the region of GCC, thats is a great opportunity for countries towards the industrial and economic growth
