It all started with an article in Ranger Rick magazine...
![Page 3: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
...and we started collecting caps.
![Page 4: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
At times they threatened to take over the library office!
![Page 5: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
Our fantastic kitchen crew sanitized every cap for us in their
dishwasher.
![Page 6: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Now clean, they still occupied a lot of the library office.
![Page 7: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Next, it was time to put students to work sorting the caps by color.

All grades got involved!
![Page 10: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
A rainbow!
![Page 11: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
More rainbows in the library.
![Page 12: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
Our art teacher and her intern began a study of Georges Seurat and pointillism.
![Page 13: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
Practicing the pointillism technique.
![Page 14: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
More practice for the circus mural, which will be part caps, part "points" of color.

Kindergarteners did a great job of gluing caps!

After gluing, it was time to drill and put in the screws.

Some walls needed to be prepped for our creations...
![Page 20: Cool Caps Project 2011-2012](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062514/557f01bfd8b42ac0728b489d/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
...and finishing touches

needed to be added.
