Introduction

Happy April Everyone!

Yes it is finally here, it was officially

spring in March, but I’ve always felt

that there is something about April

that really gives spring a kick start.

The weather picks up, the flowers

come into bloom, and keeping hopes up that winter is now on its way out!

We took some residents out for lunch at the local Lawnswood Arms. It’s

fantastic to get out in the community, and was extra special for one lady;

Muriel as she’d said she used to go all the time and would love to go

again. When we got there her face lit up with happiness and she couldn’t wait to get back and tell her family where she had been.

Chaplin’s Tea Parties.

Every Thursday afternoon, we host a tea party, with various entertainers

supporting. We have singers, keyboard players, and we even had an Irish

special as St. Patrick’s day just so happened to coincide with the Tea

party. So here are some photographs of the residents enjoying the music.

On 16th March the Kitchen and Activity

departments worked together to take part

in “the world’s largest multi-site tea party”

to get into the Guinness book of records. It

was a fantastic success and we had 36

people all together, and we all enjoyed pots

of tea with clotted cream scones.

Employee of the month.

After long and hard consideration we have presented

employee of the month to Jackie Limbert. She is the Team

leader, and works on the court suite.

Manager Kerry Angeloni said “Jackie has shown

exceptional commitment towards the team and there

residents, she has shown this through leading her team

with guidance, support and always being there to lend a

hand whatever the problem may be. She is always going

that extra mile, and has ensured that all the residents are

involved in the decisions that are made within the daily

running of her suite. Encouraging her team to go that

extra mile has also made her suite a more relaxed and

happy place to work and live.

So from all at Cookridge

Court we would like to

say a big thanks to

Jackie for all her hard

work, and also wish her congratulations.

Song of the Month Frank Sinatra- You make me feel so young.

You make me feel so young. You make me feel as though spring has sprung.

And every time I see you grin, I'm such a happy individual.

The moment that you speak, I want to go and play hide and seek.

I wanna go and bounce the moon, Just like a toy balloon.

You and I Are just like a couple of tots,

Running across a meadow Pickin' up lots of forget-me-nots.

You make me feel so young. You make me feel there are songs to be sung,

Bells to be rung, And a wonderful fling to be flung.

And even when I'm old and gray, I'm going to feel the way I do today

because you make me feel so young.

You make me feel so young. You make me feel as though spring has sprung.

And every time I see you grin, I'm such a happy individual.

The moment that you speak, I want to go and play hide and seek.

I wanna go and bounce the moon, Just like a toy balloon.
