ConversMod – Info – Install Mod

You got your mod and would like to import it? Here is the guide! This guide assumes that the PC with drivers and fordMod Helper has already been set up for registration.

Important principles for module programming

Please pay attention to these important principles with every module programming! There are a lot of reasons, so please accept and implement it at this point:

– The vehicle is connected to a battery charger (MINIMUM 5A) during each module programming (update, configuration change, etc.)

– Driverdoor must be open– Ignition on– Turn off all components like Airconditioner, Seatheating, Light– No panic, no matter what happens! – Disable all anti virus ( includes Windows Defender )

Import the ConversModMod with the FordMod Helper

Please firstly provide a suitable power supply to the car.

Now it's time to start and prepare the laptop. -Connect Laptop to power supply too-Connect ELM to your Laptop and car-Start FordModHelper with doubleclick on „startup.bat“

After "Current VIN:" the entered chassis end number is displayed. The numbers of the functions are located on theleft. These are called with the corresponding numeric key on the keyboard.

You need the "1". Somehow logical, right?

If no VIN has yet been entered, the following prompt appears:

After entering the last 6 digits of your chassis number (Fig. 3), the automatic download of your ConversMod starts.

You can go to the ConversMod menu. To install, you can use the 1.

Now connect your PC to the car via the ELM. The switch of the ELM must be set to "MS-Can".

A series of prompts appears. A part (charger connect) you have already done, other things still have to be done (airconditioner switch off etc.).

Then the first of several possible so-called loaders (Pic. 4) will start and your Convers + will enter the programming mode (Pic. 5).

Page 3: ConversMod – Info – Install Mod · Please turn the ELM327 back to "HS-Can" and switch on the ignition again. FORScan welcomes you with a "warning", which you confirm with OK.

As a rule, no intervention by you should be necessary.

3 Exceptions: 1. The progress bar (Fig. 4, green circle) or the remaining time display (Fig. 5, blue circle) remain in the

same position for more than 60 seconds. 2. Even after more than 60 seconds after the start of a loader, the Convers + does not enter into the

programming mode (exception: PreFacelift update of the parking aid (PAM loader), here the Convers + never goes into the programming mode)

3. The installer prompts you to manually access the PAM loader (for example, the PAM loader). If necessary, the necessary steps are displayed.

In the first and second cases, close the loader with the "X" in the upper right corner of the loader (not the installer!). The installer notices the failed installation and restarts the corresponding loader. If you notice that the Convers + is no longer reacting to the loaders, please switch the ignition off briefly and after approx. 10 seconds again.

If a loader has reached 100% and does not close itself, please close the loader by clicking on the X in the upper right corner of the loader. Answer the subsequent query in the case with "y" (even if the Convers + does not seem to work yet).If a loader under 100% does not continue, please also terminate and answer the query with "n".

Depending on the extent of your mod, several loaders will start one after the other (up to 5 pieces). It is completely normal if the Convers + between the individual loaders shows "very funny behavior".After successful completion of the last loader, a status overview appears.

An overview of the installed modules appears. Depending on the range of functions, 1 to 4 positions can occur here. Now switch off the ignition.

Now the CarConfig has to be re-imported into the IPC with ELMConfig.

The FordMod Helper automatically suggests starting ELMConfig. Simply press "y" when prompted. ELMConfig will open.

Please accept the settings (red circles) in fig. 7. Switch on the ignition again. Now switch the switch on the ELM327 to the HS-Can (yellow marking). The connection is established by clicking on "Open Port" (green circle).

Now click "BCM" (Fig. 8, red circle), "Procedures" (blue circle) andthen "Read CCD from BCM" (green circle). There are 2 warning messages, these can be confirmed with "OK". The current vehicle configuration is read out from the BCM (Central Electrical Module) and provided under "Central Configuration". The success of the action is indicated by the message "Read CCD complete". In addition, the button "Write CCD to BCM" is activated.

If you have NOT ordered the tire pressure control patch, skip the following step!

Programming the tire pressure control.

Click on "Central Configuration" (red circle), "Page 4" (blue circle) and then on "Less Tire Pressure Sensors" (green arrow). Select "Tire Pressure Sensors" (green circle) using the drop down menu.

Now the changed configuration is first written back to the BCM.

Please click "BCM" (red circle), "Procedures" (blue circle) and then "Write CCD to BCM" (green circle). The twoalready known warnings follow, followed by the message "Write CCD complete".

From here onwards for everyone!

The configuration is lost in the Mod in the IPC lost. The "IPC" is by the way your Convers +.

In this step, the newly read out (and possibly adapted) configuration from the BCM is written back to the IPC. Please turn the switch on the ELM327 to MS-Can.

In ELMConfig you switch to the IPC (red circle) and call the "Procedures" (blue circle).

Afterwards the configuration is played with "Write CCD to IPC" (green circle) on the Convers +.ELMConfig can now be closed via the "X" in the upper right corner. Now switch the ignition off for about 2 minutes. The last step is to delete the error codes, which are the same as with any programming. To do this, use the FORScan program. Please turn the ELM327 back to "HS-Can" and switch on the ignition again.FORScan welcomes you with a "warning", which you confirm with OK. FORScan is

now looking for the ELM327 and is starting to query all the modules.

For proper functioning, FORScan needs the year of manufacture of your vehicle. FORScan offers you here 2 to 3 possibilities,of which usually only one comes into question. Just choose the most appropriate value. "MY" stands for the "model year", so the year of construction. 2013.25 stands for avehicle that was built in the first quarter of 2013).

This is followed by a query whether the ELM327 is equipped with an HS / MS-Can switch ("Yes") followed by the request to set it to MS-Can. Please comply with this request.

FORScan reads out the remaining modules. The query whether the current vehicle profile(Fig. 14), please confirm with "No". Of course, you can also save the profile, but this is not required or used by us.

Click on the symbol in the red circle to get the error memory management. If you are interested, you can call up the description in the right window by clicking on the respective code. However, there are so many unambiguous codes after the programming that you should first delete all codes. Click on "Delete DTC in selected

modules" (blue circle). Since "All" is active by default in the module selection, the system now performs a cleanup. You are prompted to switch the switch again. Then the list of the modules appears again. There should be"nothing" behind every time.Often the ignition must be switched off for a few minutes before all errors can be cleared.

If one or more fault codes can not be cleared even after switching off the ignition, please note the abbreviations of the affected modules and switch to "Diagnostic mode" (red circle).Choose the first module you just recorded. If several modules are affected, the PCM, then the HCM, and then the BCM (blue circle selection) must first be subjected to a self-test using the start button (green circle). At this time, as in the previous step, all error codes should be deleted (previous step).

READY!

You can now turn the ignition off, exit FORScan (white "x" in the upper right), return the installer to the main menu with the Enter key, and exit it from the main menu (5> 1).

Congratulations, your Convers + Mod is now ready!

Calibration of tire pressure control

Subject: All with tire pressure control patch

– Sensors must be installed correctly in the wheels – Install wheels– Correct air pressure – Until all 4 tires show a pressure in the menu (about 10km)– Search Gas station – Make different tire pressures (the lowest pressure on the tire on the front left, and then the maximum

pressure must be adjusted ascending front right, rear left and rear right) – The changed pressures should appear relatively promptly in Convers + – Select "Tires" from the menu – The wheels are now assigned – Correct press restore – When changing the tire (for example, summer / winter), first "unassign", then change the wheels and

repeat the procedure

Here is a small graphic for the logbook:
