Saved by the Bell is a programme like mine, it uses the school setting and characters. This is shown in both DVD covers as they are wearing typical school uniforms (contrast American and British). They also use school props such as the science equipment in Saved by the Bell and books in Skyline High School. The school names are the largest and on the front, middle and back of the DVD cover as draws the consumers to the product. The colours are both uni sex with red and blue, and yellow and blue. These are also bright to attract the younger audience.
They both conventionally have a synopsis about the DVD on the back, this is furthered by the added ‘special’ on the Saved by the Bell cover and ‘Bonus features’ on my cover, this is to give more then the TV show gives making the target audience want to buy it. They both also have an animated book picture which shows that its aimed at children and connected with relatable narratives such as school. In the images the cast’s are smiling which shows the light heartedness and fun of the shows.
