During the breakfast, Michele Rusnak will present – “What Does it Take to Create a Quality Physical Education Program.” Participants will gain valuable tips and suggestions on how to establish and su- pervise a quality Physical Education program. The presenter will share her top 10 “Reflections” that she has learned from working in an urban district for over 13 years. Participants will work through a task sheet that includes recog- nizing their beliefs and vision for their program, use policy and relationships to drive their work, learn how to build teacher capacity, and understand why celebrating accomplishments are so im- portant. Silvius Abstract: Recreation Division will lead a walk through Central Square - Water Gardens or as it was known in the late 1800’s Hell’s Half Acre. This area was the edge of the Cowtown’s notorious Hell’s Half Acre where a District of Sa- loons, Dance Hall, Gambling Parlors, and Bordellos thrived in the late 1800’s. Now the Gardens are designed to be a playground for the senses. Surrounded by over 500 species of plants and trees, the main area of the park - the three pools, the Mountain, Central Square and the theater – were created as micro- environments for the people of Fort Worth to enjoy and explore.
