Position based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare the documentation of pre-consultations with end users Participate with end users to the preparation of complex ITB related to drilling activities Participate to bid technical evaluations and clarifications Provide advice on contract clauses and bidder exceptions/qualifications Establish the technical contracts from Company standard contracts in respect of rules & procedures. Bring assistance to the operational end users in the management of contracts (pre-qualification, qualification, performance follow up, database, management by panel, financial analysis). Participate in the follow-up and evaluation of suppliers & contractors performance Intervene in the avoidance and/or settlement of the potential lawsuits in relation with the Juridical, Insurance, Finance and the Contract & Procurement Divisions from the Head Office by proposing strategies and actions and by preparing & participating into the negotiations. Ensure contracts pass audits by examination against regulations procedures & Company policies. Advise in the event of claim and or disputes by contractors taking proactive measures to avoid such occurrences. Assist the Head of Contract & Procurement Department on multiple issues: Legal, insurance, Penalty, Disclaimer clauses, practicality on various contract structures Ensure application and respect of the procedures in the tender process. Support Contract & Procurement team by providing regular input into the administration of all contract life phases Newly created Contracts & Procurement Department with negotiation competencies being still under development for Operations & Drilling activities, and with no local Legal representative. Ensure that clear and fair contract terms and conditions are applied in drilling related contracts Ensure the consistency of tender procedure with regard to audit ability of the whole process MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveyor and / or other discipline. Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the Contract discipline. At least 5 years' experience in Operations/Engineering in the Oil & Gas industry mainly in drilling & well activities.
