Course DescriptionThis one-day preceptorship will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to manage patients with continuous peripheral nerve blocks for both in-patient and ambulatory care.
Objectives
At the end of the course – learners will be able to:• Describe the benefi ts & risks associated with
the use of peripheral nerve catheters andmanaging patients with continuous nerve blocks
• Describe criteria to select patients, equipmentand an infusion strategy
• Educate the patient and other team membersregarding the benefi ts and managing the risksof continuous peripheral nerve blocks
• Identify logistical barriers and commonstrategies to overcome these
