SCEENSHOTS OF CONTENTS PAGE

BY SHANNON SLOYAN

I created my contents page in Photoshop. I decided to leave the background as it is because there will be a lot of text on the page by the end of the process.

I then added pink rectangular boarder to place on the corners, vertically and horizontally on the page. I then changed the boarders to the colour mint as it is apart of my colour scheme.

Next, I added text and placed it on top of the pink boarder and added a dark grey rectangle for the left quarter of the contents page.

After that, I made a light grey rectangle and put it on top of the dark grey. Then, I added text “No1 on the charts”, the font size varied the ‘No1’ is 70 and the ‘on the charts’ is 15. The font style is Britannic bold. The title will also be that font as well.

I then added text to place on the light grey rectangle. The text is the top 10 songs in the charts at the moment. I decided not to copy all of the left section of the magazine I chose to duplicate.

I added three different images. One photo I did take at a concert I went to last summer, Cody Simpson! The others I found on my camera roll. The photo on the left is Shawn Mendes and the middle photo is a photo of clothes.

I zoomed in to help me find a good spot to put the page numbers of the images.

I added text to the right hand column with what the magazine is going to feature. I changed some of the text to different colours such as mint green, light pink and black so that they stand out. It is all the same size of 18 apart from the text above ‘exclusively featuring’ which is the font size of 12.

I zoomed in so you could see what I had added to the contents page. I created a little paragraph for my editor’s message. The font size of it is 17.5 and the style is Arial. The

title is a mint colour and the

text beneath it is pink.

I then added a image of myself on the right hand side of the page. After that, I placed two logos which are the twitter and Instagram ones.

At that time, I added the ‘contents’ text to the page. The font is 50 but I had to stretch it to make it fit across the page like I did with the masthead of the front cover!

First of all, I flipped the photo horizontally. After that, I erase all the background of Olivia.

I then enlarged the edited image of my model Olivia. After that, I made sure that the text would be seen so I moved the layer to before the text on the layers section of Photoshop. So that the text was on top of the photo.
