Above is the blank page that I am going to create my contents page on. I used QuarkXPress to create my
contents page.

First, I wanted to add the word ‘contents’ on to the page as it is a code and convention of magazine front covers. To do this I used the tool highlighted in the red circle. I used red and black
as these were two colours my target audience identified as their favourite.

I then added the contents for the magazine by importing it from word. To do this I had to create a text box, right click in it
and select ‘import text’ Once the text was on the page I changed the format so that it matched my publication plan.

Next, I added the publication date and issue number to the page, followed by the photos. To add my photographs I used the tool highlighted on the above print screen. Then I drew a
picture box in the place I wanted the image.

To add the photo, I first right clicked in the box then scrolled to ‘import picture’. Once I had imported my image I scaled it to fit the box. I repeated this step for all of my other photos.

After this, I added the page numbers so that the reader knew where each of the features from my contents where. Once I had done this my magazine contents page was complete.

I made a lot of the decisions for my Epic contents page based on my audience research. For example, the colour scheme for this page (red, black and blue) were chosen because my target audience identified these as some of their favourite colours.
The photographs I used were all taken by me and reflect the answers to my questionnaire also. For example, a few people named All Time Low as their favourite band so by using a picture of them I appeal to that aspect of my audience.
