Go-To Template For Writing Attention-Getting Sales Copy That Attracts

Money—FAST.Every single piece of ad copy that you craft, every video that you script, every

Facebook post that goes out to your fans… must be designed with one thing in mind:

Get the reader to take an actionthat benefits you—or your client. That’s your #1 goal.

What’s more, that’s the sole job of ANY ad you run—ever.

1. Your Attention Getting Device. Your Headline must speak to thereader, agree with his fears, offer him a solution, and speak as one person would speak with a close and trusted friend. No need to be hypey. Just talk like you would to your best friend.

2. Who Are You? What’s Your Story? Why are you qualified to be telling me ANYTHING and how in the world are you going to be make me FEEL good about reading another word?

I’m sure you’ve heard the old saying, “People do business with people they like.”

Well, now there’s a new saying…“People do business with people that have a STORY”

The ABOUT ME video is an opportunity to tell your story and help your audience/market understand WHY you do what you do, WHAT you want to accomplish – and WHAT got you into this business (or creating this product).

I recommend using an “interview” style approach, which appears as if you’re speaking with someone off camera.

An easy way to approach this video is to have someone ask you the following questions off camera and then have an editor take some of your best responses and piece together a 2-3 min video.

It’s important for you to appear genuine and conversational, which is why I recommend NOT writing a script.

A Simple Outline for the “YouTube Trailer” Video:

There is no LIMIT to what you can do with your video, but below are the essential ingredients that you’ll need in your video no matter what you decide to create.

I. Why You?You’ll need to quickly introduce yourself and state your credibility in your field. Are you an author? Do you have years of experience? Are you the founder, creator, CEO, etc?

II. Your Channel’s “Why”Once you introduce yourself, introduce your channel. The real secret to creating a compelling channel, is to share the big WHY behind your channel. WHY did you start this channel? WHY are you making all this content... just because you want to make money? Not good enough! Paint a picture that is bigger than YOU.

III. Why I Should Subscribe?The next step is to deliver Call to Action #1. Encourage your viewers to subscribe to your channel (by clicking the link above) and tell them why! (Because we release new videos each and every week!)

How To Teach - ANYTHING!Time to head back to “school” for a moment.

Yet this time you’re not going be the student; you’re going to be the teacher.

How to Teach AnythingThe following is a simple step-by-step flow on how to teach your topic. I suggest reading through these with one of your topics in mind.

1. Tell us WHAT we’re about to learnThe easiest way to begin any “how to” video is to introduce the topic. What are you going to teach us today? I also suggest painting the BIG PICTURE here. This is where I layout the STRATEGY from the 30,000 foot view.

2. Tell us WHY it’s important to learn itIt’s not enough to tell us what you’re going to share. You need to tell us WHY this is important. You must paint a picture of the outcomes/benefits of learning this information. What will it do for us? This is a great time to introduce case studies of successful students who have already implemented what you’re sharing.

3. TEACH what you promisedNow you can teach what you promised! The best way to do this is to think linear. Walk people through the steps from beginning to end. Don’t assume your students know as much as you. Start at “scratch” and walk them through everything they need. The more actionable, the better!

4. Recap Your TrainingEnd your training by recapping or summarizing what you just taught. Lay it all out so they can see the big picture. And to make sure they take action on this, encourage them to take that first action step right now! Then REMIND your audience of consequences of NOT implmenting what you’re about to teach.

Essential Elements To Keep In Mind- I highly recommend Case Studies or success stories to help show the proof and real life

- Be VISUAL. If you’re making a video, your tutorials need to include visual demonstrations of what you’re teaching, not just a talking head.

- Don’t be afraid to get TOO detailed! People want their hand held through every step!

- Speak candidly and don’t be afraid to be yourself in this video. Your audience wants to learn from someone they like.

- Create a Mini-Transformation! Each video should encompass just one “how-to.” Don’t try to change the world or someone’s entire life with just one video.

- Remember that you’re speaking to just one person with this video

- Encourage follow-up questions, and listen to your viewers’ concerns!

The Upsell VideoIt’s a BIG deal to get someone to buy something online.

Think about it. They see a video, stumble across a website or hear about your company and then become so inspired that they whip out their credit card and make a purchase.

That’s a big deal!

At this point it would be a shame to let all that momentum go to waste without offering an up- sell.

In fact, I would argue you’re not doing your client/market justice without offering further help, which is exactly what’s up-sell video will accomplish.

Here’s the outline I’d like you to follow when creating your up-sell video

Step #1 Congratulate them on the purchase they just made. They’ve just made a financial decision - and they should feel good about it.

Also use this as an opportunity to remind them of the benefits they’ll be receiving by making a purchase.

Step #2 Let them know the product they just purchased is 100% complete – and that nothing is missing. (The last thing you want your customer thinking is that they just bought something that was not complete, and it was just a tactic to up sell them into something else)

Step #3 Now it’s time to position your offer. The proper way to position an up sell is that you’re doing a FAVOR for the client. This includes WHY this extra product will help them with the product they just purchased – and the fact that you’re selling it at discounted rate.

Step #4 Give a call to action to make this purchase, and then place this offer in position of scarcity by telling them once they click to check out – they’ll never see this offer again.

The “Stats Video” is simply a video that shares data, numbers and figures from your industry. There is power in these numbers, and when they are staggering, you can convey a powerful message through these numbers.

A Simple Outline for the “Stats” Video:

It’s not as easy to create an outline for this type of video. Instead, I will discuss the major elements that will make your video amazing!

I. What’s Your “Big Picture” MessageIn my “Video Revolution” video, I have a message that simply says: Video is getting BIGGER... Are you using it? Don’t just list a bunch of facts and cool numbers, look for a theme or message that you want to share. What’s the lesson you want to get across to your viewers? Identify this first, and everything else will fall into place!

II. List Your Most-Staggering StatsOnce you have your big picture message (the emotional), you’ll need to back it up with the numbers. Do the research (or hire someone!) to find the best stats, infographics, and studies that support your message.

III. Make it Come to Life with MusicThese are very musically-driven videos. In fact, a bad song will ruin the entire video. Take the time to find a great song (check out www.PremiumBeat.com)

IV. What’s the Next Step?No video is complete without the right Call to Action. When your video ends, direct your viewers to take the next step with you!

It’s pretty easy to create a video like this! Below is a simple action list of the steps you need to take to create one of these videos!

1. Research Your StatisticsStep #1 is to gather all the data you can in your industry. The more staggering the facts the better! Make sure to limit it to only the BEST stats that support your overarching message!

2. Script Out Your StatsThe next step is to gather and organize your best stats so they are ordered nicely. You want ALL the text (even your call to action) to be put on one document so you have a complete script.

3. Find the Perfect SongHead on over to PremiumBeat.com and take your time looking for the perfect song that matches your video and your message. Take your time here, the song will make or break your video!

4. Find Your “After Effects” EditorFind a video editor who specializes in “After Effects” on a site like www.Odesk.com. Give examples of other “Stats” videos you want to emulate, and make sure to give him/her your complete script and music selection(s).

Keep in mind that a testimonial video is different from a case study video, but both of them

get the same message across – Real People Getting Real Results.
