Contemplative Meditation

…God into our consciousness. And in this wise…. Even with our eyes closed, we

embrace the universe within ourselves, the whole universe. And we will realize that, this

universe of God’s creating, is within us and that God’s love enfolds it, upholds it and all

who are therein. God’s love permeates this universe and all that exists in this universe is

of God’s creating, and it is spiritual just as the Master said, ‘why callest thou me good,

there is none good except the father in heaven, so we will know that in this universe,

there is nothing good or bad, all that exists is of God and God is the good unto this

universe.

Whoever it is, wherever it is whatever it is, we will see it as neither good nor evil but

as wholly spiritual, of God, the good which is God permeates it, maintains and sustains it.

Every individual embraced in our consciousness we understand to be the child of God,

the sons of God, the offspring of God, God’s own creation, and of also we will not say

that it is good or that it its evil nor that he is good or evil nor that she is good or evil but

rather that all those embraced in the spiritual universe are God and therefore spiritual.

We will not place the word good or the word evil on anybody. We will not label

anybody good or evil, we will not label any condition good or evil even at this moment as

some form of physical, mental, moral, or financial discords come into your thought, un-

label it. Take the label of good or evil and see it as merely a condition that exits but that it

is a condition that exists not good and not evil and then have it translated into that which

it is and you will behold a harmony, a health where heretofore there has been discord or

disease,

Watch this with your eyes closed, watch this—nothing is good and nothing is evil.

Begin with this moment and continue with the next weeks or months to come to

remember to that there is neither good nor evil in this world and we will place no labels

of good and evil upon anyone or anything. The reason is that we acknowledge God to be

the only good and all that exists partakes of God’s goodness, and evil has no existence.

Regardless of any appearance that may be in your thought this moment, evil has no

existence. Only God and the formations of God have existence and these we will call

neither good or evil.

Remember it is a state of duality to behold good and evil.

Remember that nothing exits in all of this world that is good or evil, it becomes good

or evil in proportion to your thinking it is so. And so something that is very good to you

becomes very evil to your neighbor. Something that is very evil to your neighbor is very

good to you and the reason is that there is neither good nor evil in anything in and of

itself but your thinking can make it so unto you and then not as a reality but as an

illusionary experience which will certainly seem real and painful and harmful and

destructive to those who entertain thoughts evil and destruction.

Now this calls for a rebirth on your part and on my part. It means the you are going to

consciously make the agreement with me now, that in this whole world of men, women

and children, in this whole world of conditions there is neither good nor evil God alone is

good and God’s goodness permeates all that exits.

There is no evil in any condition, there is no evil in any circumstance,

there is no evil in any person because God, the Infinite good has not

created evil and there is no other creator. If we have entertained an

evil sense of some person or condition, let us in this moment of

purification—let us purify ourselves of such beliefs.

In all of this world there is no evil person or condition—meaning there is not a person

or condition that has within itself any powers of evil regardless of what you may look

upon, regardless of what it appears this moment to you, you will remove its sting, you

will remove its seeming destructive nature when you look upon the person or condition,

and say within yourself,

“You have no powers of evil for there are none. I have heretofore

mislabeled you. The world has mislabeled you and it says that you

are evil, dangerous, destructive and now I know that it is not so. I

know that in all the universe there is no person, or thing, or

condition that has any quality of evil in it, or any power of evil or

any power of destruction. It is neither good nor evil for only God is

good.”

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for there is

no evil in that condition. There is no evil presence and no evil power. Though I seem to

be consumed with disease I will no longer fear it, for it has within itself no element of

destruction no element of pain no element of death. It is in and of itself nothingness since

all power is in God. I will not say of this condition that it is good, nor will I say of it that

it is evil, I will say merely it is nothingness, God is Allness, everything else is

nothingness and God’s Allness and God’s goodness and God’s power and God’s law

permeates me, this universe, all being, and all conditions.

Heretofore, we have lived in a world of two powers, we have tried to acquire a good

power, we have tried to get rid of an evil power, and now we will do neither. We will rest

content in that which Is. We will rest content in the realization that apart from God there

is no power, apart from God there is no good, but God’s Omnipotence, Omniscience,

Omnipresence assure that God’s good permeate all being all cause, all effect. I will not

judge by appearances and will withhold all judgment as to good or evil and merely

acknowledge that God alone is the good.

Even this that I have been fearing is not evil. Even this that I have been hating is not

evil, even this that I have been wondering why it came to my dwelling place that even

now I know it is not evil. It has no qualities of evil, he or she has no qualities of evil. All

good is since God alone is good.

This will lead you out of the world of duality—out of the age old mistake of having a

power of God and a power of devil—or a power of good and a power of evil or a power

of immortal and a power of mortal. This will lead you into the fourth dimensional

consciousness in which there is nothing that is either good or evil for all this is receives

its grace, glory, power, substance, cause and law from God. Nothing is good, nothing is

evil, all that is of God is spiritual—above qualities, above quantities in the realm of God

there is neither qualities or qualities, there is only infinity, eternality, immortality, a

divine state of being which has no opposites, is neither good nor evil but is spiritual.

The miracles of grace come into our experience in proportion as we withdraw

judgment and labels from the world of men and women, conditions, things and

circumstances and no longer speak the language of good or evil, no longer speak the

language of comparisons, but recognize God as the creative principle of all and therefore

all is spiritual. It is not what goes into the mouth that defileth or maketh a lie but that

which emanates from our own consciousness.

You will never again be able to blame a person, a circumstance of a condition for the

inharmonies of your life because you will recognize that it is nothing that goes into your

experience that defileth or maketh a lie, nothing that man whose breath is in his nostrils

can do to you that maketh a lie but rather what emanates from your consciousness. If you

persist in living in the world of duality and having something good an something bad,,

then that bread which you have cast on the waters returns to you and as you have cast the

bread of duality so the bread of duality returns unto you. but is you retire to the real of

your own consciousness and look out on this world and say,

“I withdraw all labels from you. I no longer see you as good or

evil. I see you as of God and I see God’s goodness permeates you, I

see God’s goodness upholds you, sustains you, I see the law of God

keeps you in perfect peace. I do not give you labels of good or evil.

No good evil emanates from my consciousness, only the vision of

God’s spiritual perfection, maintaining a spiritual universe in

eternal glory and having no glory of its own but showing forth

God’s glory—God’s handiwork. The heavens declare the glory of

God, the earth showeth forth his handiwork. And so you see we

have no glory of our own but it is God’s glory. And so you may not

call it good you may not call it evil you must call it spiritual—of

God.

Long Pause

God’s grace does not remove disease, God’s grace reveals to us that there never has

been disease, that we have accepted the world’s concept of good and evil and therefore

we have demonstrated that. Now in our spiritual enlightenment, we will no longer label

anything disease, we will no longer label anything evil, we will no longer believe that any

condition has in itself a power of evil, of destruction, of pain since all power emanates

from God. We will no longer believe that there is a law of disease, since all law is

spiritual. There is no good law and evil law, there is only one law—spiritual law—the

laws of God which govern God’s creation and there is no other creation. All that is made

God made, and God’s saw all that he made and it is very good.

Therefore we must not be deceived by appearances, and be tempted

into saying that this is evil that this is error, that this is discord and

we must get rid of it and rise above it, no, no, no. We must come

into the glory of God and realize—God made all that was made,

and all that was made is maintained and sustained by its creative

principle which is God, and regardless of appearances to my

misguided senses, I will label nothing good, I will label nothing

evil, I will label all things spiritual—of God. This spiritual vision

will result in the translating of these false appearances into an

understanding of the divine harmony which is ever present.

When you go to the altar to pray and there remember that any man has aught against

thee, then get up and make peace with thy brother then return to the alter with thy gifts.

And so, if at any time you attempt to pray or commune with God and remember you are

holding anything in your consciousness as being good or evil, stop right there and make

peace within yourself by agreeing—nothing is good or evil only God is good and the

infinity of God’s goodness permeating all being leaves nothing of an evil or destructive

nature.

Then when you have made peace so that you are not warring within yourself against a

person, a thing, or a condition, then you may return to your meditation and your

communion and say,

“Father I come to you with clean hands, I have naught against

anyone and I do not accept anyone or anything as evil therefore

no one and no thing has anything against me and so now I am in

Thy Presence in my spiritual purity, I am entertaining no evil

concepts of person or things or conditions. I am at peace with all

creation.”

Then in that state of spiritual purity the grace of God is able to permeate your mind,

your soul your being your body and your pocketbook. The grace of God is enabled to

flow in a consciousness that is not divided against itself. The grace of God is enabled to

flow in a consciousness that is not at war with anyone or anything. God’s grace is

enabled to flow through a consciousness that is single-pointed, that has only one

presence—one power, no opposites, no opposition.

Then is prayer answered, but while we have aught against someone, or someone has

aught against us, that means while we are beholding someone or something as having evil

qualities or propensities, while we believe that there is a world of duality and some one or

something is evil, has evil can cause or produce evil, we are a house divided against

itself. We are a state of consciousness at war within ourselves and the grace of God

cannot reveal itself in such a divided household.

Now we must be of a single mind, we must see with a single eye and to do that we

must withdraw the labels of good and evil from everything there is and acknowledge all

good as being God—God alone to be good.

If you invest anything with a power of evil that is the only evil it

has to react upon you.

When you withdraw the label of evil—since it has no powers of evil within itself, they

are no longer any appearances of evil or beliefs of evil to react upon you. A belief of evil

entertained in your consciousness reacts upon you—as you sow so shall you reap. If you

entertain a sense of evil to a person, place, thing, circumstance, or condition that sense of

evil that you entertain is the sense of evil that returns to harm your being, your body, your

business. When you release all sense of evil, when you refuse to invest anything with

powers of evil then your consciousness is purged of all sense of evil an there is no longer

a sense of evil to operate in you, upon you, through you, or against you.

As a man thinketh in his heart so is he. And it doesn’t really mean think, it means in

his heart as he is convinced in his consciousness whatever consciousness he entertains

that is what he drew unto himself. Therefore do not entertain any consciousness, any

sense of awareness of evil then none can react upon you. Cast your bread upon the

waters. Cast your understanding of oneness upon the waters, cast your understanding of

God’s grace as sufficiency upon the waters, cast your realization of God as the all good

upon the waters and these will return to you.

Yes, we must be in the world but not of it. We must take care of

our business, of our family life, or our social life, or our

community life, or our national life, or our international life but

we must not accept the worlds standards of what it taking place.

We above all, even while the passing parade of human events we

must stand back and realization that inherent in this world is no

power of evil.

Even with the eyes closed look out upon this world, and realize that no one and

nothing in this universe has inherent a power or propensity for evil. Make this a daily

practice, if necessary twice daily, so the always you come to the altar of prayer with no

enmity in your consciousness, there is no belief of evil people, evil presence, evil

conditions, evil potentialities then your prayer reaches the throne of heaven, your prayer

reaches the very center of your being and good flows and permeates your entire universe.

Give to God your consciousness purified. Purified with the understanding that God alone

is good, God’s goodness is the goodness of individual being, individual condition,

thought and thing. Nothing else is power, nothing else is law.

Behold the Christ sitting behind the eyes of every individual on the face of the globe.

Behold the Christ as the substance and law of every condition—then you have no duality

in your consciousness, and no duality can return unto you. You are the Masters of your

fate, the captains of your own soul in proportion to the truth and that you know. “Ye shall

know the truth an the truth shall make you free.” Because it is ye that must know the truth

it is ye who are captains of your soul and Masters of your fate by the degree of truth that

you know. And there is only one truth…and that truth is God. Therefore to behold evil is

to behold evil in God or because of God or in spite of God and this isn’t true. There is no

evil.. an infinity of good an eternality of good—the all good is the only truth.

Purge my consciousness of the belief in two powers, purge my

consciousness of the belief in appearances that would testify to a good

power and an evil power. Purge my consciousness so I know there is no

power—there is only God—infinite good.

Nothing in all this world opposes two times two being four, no , nothing in all this

world opposes the value of do, re, me, fa, so, la, te, do. These are maintained and

sustained unto eternity without any opposition because there is no evil to destroy the

fourness of two times two or the do, re, “me-ness” of do, re, me. These qualities and

qualities are eternally intact without opposition and so are we. There is no opposition to

our immortality or eternality. There is no power on earth to destroy the perfection and

harmony of our being.

A dual mind has permitted us to believe in two powers and now in this day, in this

experience of God we return to our fathers house, we return to our father consciousness

where we see as God sees. We are to pure to behold iniquity because we are beholding

with God consciousness with Christ awareness and we are too pure to behold inequity.

We do not believe that in all of this universe there is an evil condition, an evil power,

an evil propensity. We are too pure, we have the one mind that was in Christ Jesus and

we behold what God made was when it said to what was evidently a crippled man,

“rise—pick up thy bed and walk” because that mind saw no crippled man. It saw no

condition apart from God it saw no evil in the universe, it didn’t even believe there was a

good body or a bad body there was only a God body. The only goodness of anybody is

God. Nobody has goodness of themselves anymore than they have evil. But everyone has

Goodness, God being, Christhood, we are too pure to behold inequity, we are too pure to

behold two laws operating in this universe a good one and a bad one. We are too pure to

behold two powers, two substances a good one and an evil one, a spiritual one and a

material one. We are too pure to behold inequity because we behold through the mind

that was in Christ Jesus. We behold through the vision that God has given us, the vision

shown thee on the mount—one power—one presence and that one God.

Why have we taken so long to meet the discords and inharmonies of human sense

because we have persisted in accepting the belief that there is someone or something to

be gotten rid of. We have been beholding a sense of selfhood apart from God and as long

as we entertain that we cannot be free in Christ.

Let me make you this distinction—never seek to be free from anything or anyone.

Never seek to be free from any condition because then you yourself set up in duality.

Seek freedom in Christ. Never seek freedom from—seek freedom in. I am free in Christ.

Christ is my freedom. Christ is the love that permeates my being. Christ is the liberty

wherewith I am clad. Christ is my freedom, harmony, health, wholeness, completeness,

and perfection. I do not seek freedom from anything, I realize my freedom in spiritual

being. I realize my freedom in the Oneness of consciousness in which there are no

presences or powers opposed to God. My freedom is in and of Christ, it is never from

anything or anybody. Freedom is a quality of God which we enjoy when we have

overcome duality. When we no longer entertain a sense of separation from God. When

we no longer entertain a sense of a presence and power apart from God then are we free

in God, then are we clad with the liberties of the sons of God. We are only clothed and in

our right mind when we are too pure to behold inequity, when we refuse to entertain any

sense of iniquity, of evil or destruction of calamity. We do know that as long a there is

duality in an individual consciousness, there will be the discords of earth but it does not

come nigh the dwelling place of ye who dwell in the secret place of the most high. Too

pure to behold inequity, or acknowledge it, or agree that it is so.

No man is a healer and no man can become a healer but every man can be a revealer, a

revealer of God’s grace—God’s harmony God’s peace permeating his universe. This

appears to outer sense as healing. In just the same wise that the mathematician corrects

the belief that two times two is five with the understanding that two times two are four

but he didn’t bring about a healing because two times two were never other than four. So

he corrected nothing he changed nothing except the belief—an erroneous premise. So

with us.

We never heal—we correct the belief that there is something to be healed.

We correct the belief that there is somebody to be healed. We correct the

belief that there are two powers operating in human experience—in your

experience and mine and the world’s. We become so pure, so single-

minded that we acknowledge God’s law alone operative in all of God’s

creation.

The contemplation of this truth is a contemplative form of mediation. It is a

contemplative meditation of spiritual truth. It is more than this, it is a communion with

truth and in truth and it is prayer and it is treatment you may call this by any of these

names. Actually the highest thing you can give to it is contemplative mediation because

you are in mediation—you have withdrawn from the world, you have shut the world out

from your eyes and your ears so that inwardly you may meditate and in your meditation

you contemplate and you contemplate truth, you contemplate the nature of truth as one.

So that actually there is no such thing as a lie. You contemplate truth as a power so

that there is no such thing as evil power. You contemplate truth as substance so there is

no substance to be destroyed, got rid of. You contemplate God’s grace and God’s

goodness and this contemplating in meditation is likewise the prayer results really in the

prayer of realization. It is the prayer that comes to a realization in which that which you

have been contemplating automatically becomes real and demonstrable within you.

So it is for this reasons that we may also call it prayer, we may also call it treatment,

then after our contemplation we have our few moments of complete silence in which we

say to the father, “speak Lord thy servant heareth”, then we wait until an assurance comes

within us, a feeling that this is true that we have declared, this is truth that we have relied

and up from within our own being there comes to us the assurance of God’s presence and

of God’s being on the field, than then we may say, “we now have realized prayer,

realized treatment, realized meditation. A meditation may not bring out what we call

healing, prayer may not bring out what we call healing, treatment may not bring it out

unless these are lifted to the point of realization. And so when you have meditated,

contemplated, when you have prayed or treated, do not be satisfied, sit back, relax turn to

the father within, speak lord thy servant heareth, then listen and wait for the feel to be

place upon your prayer or mediation or treatment.

Do not tell this to anyone and in so far as possible do not even discuss it among

yourselves, keep this as something sacred and secret until such time as it is such a

positive conviction and realization that you are able to demonstrate it in bringing forth

harmonies into your existence and those around you. Then and then only, can you begin

not teach it to others, but do not teach this because this is the highest revelation given in

the Master’s teaching. This is the highest revelation which only a few of his disciples

were able to grasp, that is why it has been lost to the world because of this depth because

of its impossibility to accept because of appearances.

This appearance world is forever testifying to the pairs of opposites, the good and evil,

the life and death, sickness and health, poverty and lack and these appearances have

registered themselves so deeply upon us that many of us even here now, hearing this

probably doubt that it is actually true that there is nobody and nothing in all of this

universe that has an evil power, propensity or capacity. And yet it is so. But it is a highly

evolved realization that comes through spiritual discernment, through inner reflection,

pondering, meditating. And one of these days, the truth of it is revealed to you from

within your own being. At this moment some of you have only my word for it or a few

passages of scripture. Some of you are a step further and have an inner feeling that what

you are hearing is true, but none of this is enough. You must as Mary took the babe into

Egypt to hide it for a year, so must we take this gem into our consciousness and hide it,

ponder it, meditate upon it until the day when something within ourselves says, it is true,

and when that day comes, just the facts, that inner realization has come, when you open

your eyes you will behold that even in this world it is so. Then you can begin the work,

the mission of revealing this truth to whoever around you may be receptive to it.

Do not cast your pearls before swine. Do not give your great truth to the unprepared

thought, never discuss truth, never argue truth, truth is something that seems to respond

to reason. Truth is something you feel the rightness of or you do not. if you do not you

are not ready for the experience, if you do feel it, keep it within yourself to share with

others who also feel it. But do not try to argue it, or discuss it, because truth does not lend

itself… the things of God are foolishness to man so do not try to convince him. And even

if you heal the sick and raise the dead do not expect the unprepared thought to accept for

scripture says, though you raise them from the dead they will not believe. We have all

witnessed that. Until a soul is prepared to accept a spiritual vision they will not even

accept the healing of disease or the raising of the dead as an actual fact or proof.

Treasure these truths within yourself as you would cherish gems and then share them

discreetly with those who are appreciative of gems. For I give it unto you that the

evidence of the senses tells us that sin, and disease and lack have powers within

themselves detrimental to us. I give it you as a spiritual truth that there is no power either

or good or evil in anything or anybody. All power is in God and God power is good.

And now you will be able to understand the meaning of the Master when he says,

“peace I give unto you. My peace give I unto you.” In that consciousness of his which

was too pure to behold evil he say not evil to be overcome, he saw no disease to be

healed, he saw no sinners to be reformed, he said definitely neither do I condemn you,

forgive unto seventy times seven. And so he beheld a spiritual universe filled with God’s

grace and he was able to say, my peace, that is my consciousness, which is not divided

against itself, but which is of the household of God having in it only children of God the

peace of God that give I unto you, you will find the as you can entertain within yourself

this divine idea, this spiritual truth of oneness you will find the power of Christ peace, of

an undivided household will descend upon you.

And so it is, and so it is, and we will leave these for later, and so it is and thank you

until this afternoon.
