Benefits industry & environment by: eliminating warehousing for inactive containers. eliminating waste through scrapping of obsolete containers. Provides a very simple bulletin board system business lean. It is independent of complex accounting, shipping, billing, and inventory systems. Simple to implement and requires minimum maintenance. The package includes fewer than 20 database driven web pages, including help, logging, and administration screens. Implemented globally within Delphi in August 2002. User having excess containers uses a web form to post the availability of containers. An online viewable list reflects the availability of these containers. Users who choose to subscribe may receive automatic e-mail notification of the new posting. User who needs containers contacts owner offline and arranges transfer of containers. Originating user returns to web and logs the transfer update information.
