ACTING FOR FILM BA (HONS) – SINGLE HONOURS • UCAS Code: W420 C58 • Location: Chichester and Bognor Regis Campuses Taught in the University of Chichester Conservatoire across both our Chichester and Bognor Regis campuses, the course offers you an intense focus on developing your specialist skills in screen acting and the opportunity to combine this with your choice of spotlight skills. Spotlight skills can vary from year to year but have included street fighting, horse riding, period and social dance, accents and acting through song. You will cultivate your own bespoke acting approach from an introduction to a broader range of acting practitioners such as Stanislavski, Hagen, Adler and Meisner, alongside the camera technique skills necessary for a convincing, truthful camera performance. You will work on campus and on location and will gain experience in acting on small and larger scale film productions. You will grow your knowledge of other aspects of film and screen acting and its history, and an understanding of the film and television industry and how this contributes to and reflects contemporary culture. AS/EPQ/BTEC/Cambridge Technical) • A levels: BCC to CCC • BTEC/Cambridge Technical: DMM – MMM • International Baccalaureate: 28 points AUDITION Candidates will be required to demonstrate their ability in acting in a performance audition. Applicants to the Music or Musical Theatre joint routes will be required to also demonstrate their abilities in dance and/or singing. Applicants with high levels of performance skills may be considered for a lower academic offer. If we feel you are more suited to another course, we may suggest an alternative programme.
