TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES ATMARGARITAVILLE HOLLYWOOD BEACH RESORT

At Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort we take a uniquely fun and “chill” approach to our team building activities and options. These are a great way to improve communication and productivity, helping teams to get to know each other better, and helping you achieve your group goals.

Our team building activities can be used by any business, large or small, to promote better teamwork in the workplace, and as most business leaders know, great teamwork is one of the key factors associated with a company’s success.

No matter what activity you choose, you can count on a professionally run team building event that weaves in effective coaching, friendly competition, and plenty of fun.

Group will compete in a series of fun-filled and competitive challenges on the beach facilitated by a host from the Recreation Team. Show off your skills with classic beach games such as relay races, 3 legged race, tug-of-war, horseshoes, hula hoop challenge, water balloon toss, titan pong and more. The winning team will take home gold medals based on the grand total score tally at the end of all events.

BEACH OLYMPICS1 - 2 hrs

Teams must stay within their designated spot and no sand may be added or removed. Only materials found on the beach may

be used in the finished sculpture. Tools included to build your castle are: 2 large buckets, 2 small buckets and 3 shovels. The

Recreation Team will judge the finished masterpieces.

SAND CASTLE COMPETITION1 - 2 hrs

Groups will be split into teams depending on how many members are participating. You will be given a list of “FINtastic” items to complete. Don’t forget you will be timed for this hunt. Extra Parrot Points for the most original group name! Your scavenger hunt can be customized to your liking. Some of the tasks will include: snapping a super awesome selfie with a FlowGuard, posing in front of the giant flip flop with a flip flop, etc.

SCAVENGER HUNT1 - 2 hrs

Challenge your attendees with our one of a kind volleyball tournament! We provide your group with our experienced team members, master

score keepers, and a FINtastic beach front location.

VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT2 - 3 hrs

The ultimate team challenge. Each team is given an identical set of materials and one hour to build a boat. Teams then race against each other in the LandShark Pool. Materials include: three 60” x 100” sheets of cardboard, two paddles, one razor blade knife, one roll of plastic wrap and 90 yards of duct tape.

CARDBOARD BOAT REGATTA2 - 3 hrs

Groups will compete in a series of individual challenges on the FlowRider in order to determine the grand champion of the wave. In a competition similar to the popular basketball game ‘H-O-R-S-E,’

the group participants will compete in the ‘B-U-F-F-E-T-T’ challenge against one another. The first rider attempts a trick in a particular way, explaining to the other players before-hand what the requirements of

the trick are. The last player standing is declared the winner.

THE FLOWRIDER CHALLENGE1 - 2 hrs

The group will paddle out from 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar and Grill to the race area. Everyone will have about 30 minutes to paddle around as a group to get comfortable with their equipment. After everyone is warmed up the race will begin. Teams of four to ten people will compete to race around a buoy and back to the starting line, where they must tag their next team member before starting their lap around the buoy.

TEAM RELAY RACES1 - 2 hrs

Our guides will escort the group through the Anne Kolb Nature Preserve and into West Lake. After taking in the

beautiful scenery, the group will continue the journey to the mangrove trails. The guides will discuss the history of the area while pointing out the various wildlife and the symbiosis of the

mangrove trails and its inhabitants.

GUIDED ECO TOUR1 - 2 hrs

Start this event off by learning how to make our Perfect Margarita from one of our Mixologists. After the demonstration your guests will be split into teams. Each table will be set with necessary items and a separate table will be set with ingredients to make a variety of margaritas. Items will include: various juices, sodas, rums, limes, sugars, etc. Each team must go to the “shopping” table and use those ingredients to make their own margarita. Depending on what the client wants, teams can either share the ingredients equally or provide them on a first come, first serve basis. For the first come, first serve option we will have a trivia question determining which team goes first.

MARGARITA MIXOLOGY1 - 2 hrs

A remarkably fun and instructive design exercise that encourages teams to experience simple but profound lessons in collaboration, innovation and creativity. Each team is given 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 marshmallow, 1 piece of string, and 1 foot of tape with 18 minutes to complete.

MARSHMALLOW CHALLENGE1 - 2 hrs

This event is truly one of a kind and can accommodate smaller parties. One of our team members will hide “salt shakers” throughout the resort that

will lead your team to solve the mystery of the lost shaker of salt. Jimmy will leave a note explaining that “someone” or “something” has stolen the secret ingredient to his Perfect Margarita, but who’s to blame? That’s for you to figure out! Throughout the Resort we will have clues leading up to the missing Salt Shaker. Beginning and ending in the meeting space, you

will have an opportunity for speeches and/or presentations for your group.

LOST SHAKER OF SALT2 - 3 hrs

We also have options for smaller groups/parties to participate in our activities. Some of these activities will include: Single elimination…double elimination the possibilities are endless! Customize a tournament for your group!

SMALLER GROUP ACTIVITIES

Gather in large or small teams or even break into teams of men and women for a battle of the sexes! This event puts your

knowledge to the test. Test your skills with a variety of questions from our team at Margaritaville. We can host this event in multiple

locations such as License to Chill or one of our banquet rooms. We are able to customize the trivia event by including questions

about your company or whatever your group desires.
