APPLICATION PROCESS
Before receiving assistance from the Legal Aid
office on your island, call our intake hotline to
complete an application. We will first determine
your eligibility for our services and then give you
some advice about your legal issue if you meet the
requirements. If you need further assistance we
may refer you to another local legal agency or to a
Legal Aid office on your island.
We advise calling intake when phone lines
open at 9am or 1pm. Keep in mind that this is a
state wide hotline, therefore wait times may vary.
We offer a limited call back feature which allows
you to leave a short message and a number to
receive a call back.
Legal Aid also offers walk-in applications at our
Downtown Honolulu office. Walk-ins are limited so
please call to check available times for in-person
applications.
