ABOUT PIZZA RANCH This fun and educational event is a

great field trip that helps our youth better understand the origin of the ingredients in pizza.

A giant pizza is constructed in the Justin Arena. It contains live plants and animals used to make pizza. . . . . wheat, beef, pork, cheese, tomatoes, peppers, onions, herbs, spices.

Youth Attending Pizza Ranch Learn the Following Concepts:

Agriculture affects and is important to

everyone Farm animals convert grains and

grasses into edible products for human

consumption Horticulture, the production of fruits

and vegetables, is a part of agriculture

Our food supply is safe and economical MyPlate is a useful tool in determining

the correct items and amounts to eat

Red meat and dairy products are im-portant parts of a healthy balanced diet

The Pizza Ranch Event takes place at the John Justin Arena in the Will Rogers

Memorial Complex and is customarily held on the Tuesday and Wednesday following the first Monday of the month of May.

Tours begin at 9:40 a.m. on each day and continue every twenty minutes

until 12:00 p.m. It takes approximately two hours to complete the tour which in-cludes lunch provided by Southwest Dairy

Museum, Domino's Pizza - Mark of Excel-lence, and many other sponsors through-out Tarrant County.
