Non-Annex 1 Parties should be encouraged to report on their activities and programmes and to identify constraints, gaps and future needs in accordance with Article 5 (FCCC) and Decisions 14/CP.4, 5/CP.5 and guidelines in FCCC/CP/1998/7


GUIDELINES

Information on CC research and systematic observation, and participation in national, regional and global networks and systems.

Information on research on programmes to mitigate climate change, facilitate adaptation and development of emission factors and activity data.


RSO Linkage to 5/CP.5

Invites all Parties to provide detailed reports on systematic observation in accordance with these guidelines, for Parties included in Annex I to the Convention in conjunction with their national communications, pursuant to decision 4/CP.5, and on a voluntary basis for Parties not included in Annex I;
