Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers' Association (ICEMA) is organizing the First Annual Conclave on rdEquipment Finance on 23 January 2019 at New Delhi. The conclave would focus on opportunities, challenges
and innovation in construction equipment financing and leasing. Frost & Sullivan is the Knowledge Partner for
this event.

INTRODUCTION
The Indian economy has been riding high on the rising tide of infrastructure growth. Construction Sector alone
contributes nearly 10% to the robust Indian GDP. This expansion across sectors like Energy & Power, Railway,
Aviation promises to propel the Construction Sector to a $738 billion industry by 2022 at a CAGR of 15.7%. This
healthy growth in the Construction Sector also trickles down to both the Construction Equipment Industry and
the Construction Equipment Financing Industry, helping them grow into $5 billion and $4.2 billion industries
respectively by 2020.
Construction Equipment Industry is highly influenced by the developments in the Infrastructure Sector. While it
derives the benefits of high focus on the sector, it is also affected by the innate challenges of the sector. ICEMA in
collaboration with Frost & Sullivan have come together to initiate a dialogue between all the stakeholders of the
industry, including Government Bodies, OEMs, financiers and the customers to bring to the table the issues
facing the industry and the vast opportunities available in the Construction Equipment Financing space .
VISION
The Conclave on Construction Equipment Finance aims at becoming the leading platform for all the stakeholders
of the Industry, all the way from policy makers to the OEMs and financiers, to collaborate and effectively align
their modus-operandi to achieve maximum sustainable growth. It is also a platform for the stakeholders to voice
their challenges, discuss opportunities and collectively innovate solutions for the industry.
This year's conference is spread over three sessions discussing the following agendas:
• Panel Discussion on Opportunities & Challenges for the Infrastructure Sector
The panel comprising of experts from Government Bodies, infrastructure companies, banks / NBFCS and OEMs
will discuss on the growth opportunities, recent developments in the sector and also discuss specific challenges
faced by the companies and try to discuss and suggest the likely solutions.
• Presentation on Indian Construction Equipment market & Finance
Presentation from an Industry leader on the Construction Equipment market, its direct and indirect impact on
the Indian economy and social structure including its effect on employment generation, skill development etc.
The presentation will cover the importance of financing and its role in expanding the market and making it more
inclusive.
• Panel Discussion on Opportunities & Challenges for CE Finance Industry
The panel comprising of Construction Equipment manufacturers, financiers and customers will bring forth and
discuss the specific issues that needs to be collectively addressed and try to make an agenda of solving the issues
in a specific time frame .
• Presentation on Innovation in Equipment Financing
Financing landscape is changing at an immense speed, with a revolution in emerging technologies like
biometrics, face recognition, psychometrics, surrogate analysis coupled with government initiatives like
digitalization, GST roll out and cashless transactions. An Industry leader will present the future of Equipment
financing and how the Industry needs to prepare for this change which has already arrived.
