Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation (doing business as “National Grid”) anticipates that it will commence site preparation and construction of its West Ashville Substation Project on or about November 26, 2018. The project is the construction of a new 115/34.5 kV distribution substation and associated 115 kV transmission line extensions. Once constructed, the West Ashville Substation will be interconnected to National Grid’s existing 115 kV Line #160 in the Town of Harmony, Chautauqua County. The included Project Map shows the approved substation site, which is where site preparation and construction will take place. The approved substation site will be located on an approximately + 11.62 acre parcel of land, located west of Swede Road in the Town of Harmony, Chautauqua County, New York. Construction is expected to start on or about November 26, 2018.
