Constructing Envs. Tutorial 2 In this tutorial, we need to use the balsa batten to build a tower as tall as possible; however, it must be stable as well. Before the tutorial, we use a large steel ruler and a sharp cutting knife to cut the balsa wood into strips. We planed to build a triangle basement. We wanted to build the tallest wood tower in the tutorial. This is our conception, as shown in the photo on the left. In our opinion, triangle is a stable shape. Thus, we plan to use triangle to design this model mainly. These two wood strips were used act as stabalisers to make the tower more stable.

Tutorial 2
In this tutorial, we need to use the balsa batten to
build a tower as tall as possible; however, it must
be stable as well.
Before the tutorial, we use a large steel ruler and a sharp cutting knife to cut the balsa
wood into strips. We planed to build a triangle
basement.
We wanted to build the tallest wood tower in the
tutorial. This is our conception, as shown in the photo

What we've done here is not as close as what we expected. In the actual condition, our
final work even made us disappoint. Although the ‘tower’ was the tallest one in the tutorial,
however it can’t stand by itself.
In my opinion, under ideal situations, our tower should've been able to stand. However,
the technical details of the tower were not well constructed which in turn resulted in our
failed standing tower.
