CONSTITUTION DAY IN SIIET
On the occasion of the 72th anniversary on 26th Nov 2019 marking the adoption of the
Constitution of India, a program was organized by Department of CSE for creating awareness
among the students regarding the fundamental duties as put forth by the Indian Constitution.
As per the program, Preamble to the Indian Constitution was read out for the students in
attendance followed by a deliberation by Prof R. Yadagiri Rao, on the importance of
fundamental duties. The principal emphasized on the virtues of awareness regarding various
facets of the Constitution. The students also participated in a debate regarding the current
situation of the Indian Government and Constitution.

CELEBRATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS DAY
Human rights day was celebrated on 10th December 2019 with participation of 85 students and
faculty members. The students spoke about our fundamental rights and violation of Human
Rights through competitions such as elocution and essay.
Students from various branches assembled in College Seminar Hall and discussed the importance
and violations of Human Rights.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS
Republic Day celebrations were conducted on 26th January 2019. After the flag hoisting,
Principal enlightened the students on inculcating the values of past & learning from the great old
freedom fighters. He encouraged the students to strive for a cleaner and healthier mind. Program
continued with staff participating in various competitions such as singing, poster making and
painting.

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATIONS
To honor Swami Vivekananda, National Youth Day is celebrated every year on 12th January.
The Government felt that the philosophy of Vivekananda and his ideals are a great source of
inspiration for the Indian youth. So, it was declared that his birthday will be observed as
“National Youth Day”.
The youth of today on this occasion should strive to be better than the past and set an example
for the future generations so that they too can benefit and learn from the great teacher himself.
Fill the brain with high thoughts, highest ideals, place them day and night before you, and out of
that will come Great work - Swami Vivekananda. “Be good. Do good”. SIIET celebrated
“YOUTH DAY” with a group students and staff who performed acts on “Important Episodes of
Swami Vivekananda”.
NATIONAL VOTERS DAY
National Voter Day is celebrated on 25 January 2019 is celebrated to spread awareness among
the young voters regarding effective participation in the electoral process and infusion of
democratic values among the students who are the future electors of the country. Institute
celebrates this day, on which, the students and staff assemble in auditorium to take the pledge.
AWARENESS PROGRAM ON FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES AND RIGHTS
OF INDIAN CITIZENS
Awareness Program on Fundamental Duties and Rights of Indian Citizens were conducted by
Sri Indu Group, Ibrahimpatnam on 26th Nov 2018. As per the program, Preamble to the
Indian Constitution was read out for the students in attendance followed by a deliberation by
Dr. Ch. GN Prasad, on the importance of fundamental duties and Rights of Indian Citizens.
The principal emphasized on the virtues of awareness regarding various facets of the
Constitution.

GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATIONS
“I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles, but today it means getting along with
people.”-Mahatma Gandhi
The leadership quality of a great personality can be understood from the above quote. Also to
understand the teachings of the great personality a session was conducted at SIIET on Leadership
of Mahatma Gandhi by Dr. I.Satyanarayana, Principal on 3rd October 2018. The session started
with some wonderful quotes of Mahatma Gandhi.
The session then gained momentum when the Principal talked about the leadership learning from
the great leader. He also emphasized that due to his leadership qualities we could achieve the
freedom. This man would be remembered for the decades to come. Students understood the
leadership qualities needed to be a great leader in future. After the session, an elocution
competition was conducted in which around 30 students participated.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON CHILDREN’S RIGHTS
Sri Indu Institute of Engineering and Technology – NSS cell has organized “an
Awareness Programme on Children’s Rights” in our college campus on 28th February 2018.
A REPORT ON AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON CHILDREN RIGHTS:
Noble Awardee Kailash Satyarthi interacted with students of Sri Indu Engineering College at its
campus in Sheriguda on Wednesday. While addressing the students he said that the future of the
country lies in their own hands and remember that the same and act accordingly. Kailash
reiterated that injustice being meted out to 53 percent of boys and girls across the world and they
were being denied their rights. He offered a three D victory formula to the students, dream,
discovery and do. College Chairman R Venkat Rao announced the renaming of college
auditorium Kailash Satyarthi on the occasion. Director, Centre for good governance, J
Deviprasad, Secretary Anush Chakravarthy and the Chairman felicitated Kailash Satyarthi.
Ibrahipatnam MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, BV Papa Rao, Adivsor, Govt of Telangana and
Veda Kumar, Chairman, Children film society attended as chief guests.

A Workshop on cVIGIL conducted on 25 January 2018. To spread awareness among the young
