President’s ReportThe Great American Trailer Park Musical - There’s still time to catch this hilarious musical if you haven’t already with performances until the 9th August. It’s straight out good fun (though with an adult twist!), has cool music and the most amazing set of wigs you’ve ever seen!Junior Workshops - Celeste Underhill and I are co-ordinating the Junior Workshop production this year. The production will be entered into Youthfest and be part of Storytime in the Hills. We have an energetic group of16 who are bursting with enthusiasm.

Auditions - The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory audition date has been announced and details can be found on page 6 (and on the Theatre website).

Acting for Screen and Dance workshops - We are hoping to run these workshops to be facilitated by Hayley Parker. Her classes last year were a big hit and if we don’t have enough participants they simply can’t be run. There is a workshop for adults as well as children for screen acting (so much fun!) as well as a dance workshop. Hayley runs these in a professional manner and they’re really worth looking into.2014 Oscars winning songs gala evening - Paul Treasure and Kathryn Ramsell are busy organising a special gala event for September 6th at the Roleystone Theatre. People from across Perth’s community theatre scene will gather to perform a special concert made up of a selection of Oscar winning songs. It’s sure to be an entertaining evening and a trip down memory lane too! Tickets will be available online shortly and include a free drink and nibbles.More committee members required! Unfortunately we are still short 2 committee members. You do not need to have experience.... we will help you out and hold you up until you feel ready to fly solo with a portfolio. The committee meets once a month... PLEASE contact me (0402 014666) if you think you could help out. The roles that the committee fills (or interested members outside of the committee) are varied and suit different skill sets.

Take care, Bree Hartley
