Allegiance Wines Limited Show Release Shiraz 2015

Code: ITM5343 14.5% alc/volUsual Price $24.99 per bottle

Region: Barossa Valley, SANotes: This is a complex wine characterised by ripe red berries and savoury spice. The palate is luscious with dark rich fruit and subtle oak influences enclosed in a silky tannin structure. Effortlessly elegant and intense with a lingering finish.Cellar: Enjoy now to 2022Food match: Seared kangaroo

The winery was established in 2000. Bob and Marilyn Fowler purchased the Estate and winery in 2010 and created Willoughby Park. The Kalgan River range is all Estate grown fruit from Willoughby Park’s premium Kalgan River cool-climate vineyard. Previously one of the great secrets of the Great Southern, Kalgan River is quickly developing a reputation as a premium fruit source.

The Pawn Wine Co. had its beginning in 2002 as a once-off experiment between two mates: winemaker Tom Keelan and vigneron David Blows. They had a craving to make small parcels of wine from alternative varieties growing on their Springhill Vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. The first vintage of The Pawn wines was so well received that decided to keep going.

Landhaus is a small family-owned winery in the heart of Bethany, the Barossa’s oldest German-established village. Combining time-honoured techniques with innovation, winemaker Kane Janutis crafts expressive wines that are stylish, seductive and sophisticated – wines that demand thought and patience to appreciate the intricacies of the flavours and complexities on offer.

Pacha Mama is a dynamic winemaking operation based in the Yarra Valley. The venture is headed by Nina Stocker and Callie Jemmeson, who select their favourite varieties from the regions they’re most passionate about. Their aim is to produce stylish, individual wines that are great value – wines to put on the table and share with friends.

The Yakka Shiraz is sourced entirely from Longview’s vineyard at Macclesfield, Adelaide Hills. The 2015 vintage resulted in very low yields; however what was produced was exceptional. The growing season was mild, cool and very dry, which resulted in amazing quality of fruit and excellent flavours at low sugar levels with intense flavour and acid balance.

Longview Yakka Shiraz 2015

Region: Yarra Valley, VICNotes: “A fragrantly pretty red berry bouquet leads into a delicately framed and structured pinot, showing no hint of over-extraction. This is a pinot lover’s pinot, superfine, but needing more time for its spicy/savoury flavours to develop - which are guaranteed to emerge.” Halliday Wine CompanionCellar: Enjoy now to 2020Food match: Crispy pork belly

Region: Adelaide Hills, SANotes: Matured for 15 months in old and new French barriques, the wine displays vibrant blue fruits, spice, flavours of dark chocolate and coffee. This elegant, cool-climate Shiraz is medium bodied, and finishes with a delicious vanillin length and velvety texture.Cellar: Enjoy now to 2022Food match: Sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce

Code: ITM4697 14.5% alc/volUsual Price $24.99 per bottle

Region: Great Southern, WANotes: Lifted nose of dark berries and leafy spice that flow onto the palate. The purity of fruit creates a generous and mouth-filling wine, while soft ripe tannins provide structure. An elegant wine of quality far beyond its price.Cellar: Enjoy now to 2027Food match: Roast lamb

Region: Adelaide Hills, SANotes: Dry, complex and layered – this wine is multi-faceted with cherry and cranberry fruit, leather and mineral notes, light tannin, and a long complex finish. Spice and violets enhance aromas of cherry-cola and raspberry.Cellar: Enjoy now to 2022Food match: Italian sausages

Region: Barossa Valley, SANotes: “What a bright, juicy and so cheery wine aimed solely at gluggability. Tempranillo leads at 70%, this sees no oak so the vibrancy of the fruit is key but so, too, is the tannin structure, all supple and fine. Heady aromas and refreshing acidity a given. A little beauty.” Halliday Wine CompanionCellar: Enjoy now to 2024Food match: Hungarian goulash
