Transcript of Connector tech+ @ The Church

Welcome.Connector started running monthly meet-ups for the digital
community in 2008. After a break, we believe time is right to
bring back our monthly networking events for the tech,
media, advertising and media community.
The goal is to run 12 events per year and then build on that
with other events for our growing community.
The events are to be held in The Church’s Cellar Bar &
Tower Bars which can hold approximately 250 people and a
demo area for new products.

Connector.Connector has run events for digital, creative and
entrepreneurial communities for almost 10 years.
In our work as Experience Design Innovators, we work
with many brands like Huawei, Sony, Benecol,
Volkswagen and many startups to grow their
businesses online and offline.
We educated over 5,000 business professionals via our
sister brand SocialMedia.ie and work with many
educational institutions too.

• The presenter delivers each slide in succession
without skipping slides or going back.

Startup vs Legacy Company Speed Dating.
Company speed dating or speed networking is a meeting
format designed to accelerate business contacts. The
Startup vs Legacy Company Speed Dating gives start-ups
the chance to dive into the world of entrepreneurship and
connect with highly qualified and established legacy
companies.
Organised in a similar fashion to speed dating,
participants will greet each other in a series of brief
exchanges during a set period of time. During an
interaction, participants share their professional
backgrounds and business goals. This style of networking
can help gain exposure to new markets and to expand
their pool of contacts.
12
Battle of the Designers.
Two graphic designers will lead a team and compete on
the spot to develop a new product concept or design
based on a specific theme.
This activity promotes rapid design and innovation to
inspire the creation of something completely unique!
Each month a guest speaker will be invited to
speak and participate in the event. The speaker
will be chosen based on their experience,
credibility and relevance to the audience
attending.
This event will give attendees the chance to hear
from an inspiring figure in their field and ask them
any questions they may have.
Creator Meet & Greet.
13
Name Tag.
14
We will break the attendees into smaller groups, starting
by giving the attendees the wrong name tags and tasking
them with finding the person with their name.
When they have found the right person they must answer
3 questions to get the name tag back and then this will
continue until everyone has the correct name tag!
This not only helps people to approach each other and
learn more about other attendees but can also encourage
groups of people to start having conversations that they
can continue later on.
Quick Fire.
15
We will tell your attendees to find a partner and give them
60 seconds each to fire off quick questions to the other
person (leading questions will be displayed on the
screens to help the employees).
This exercise will give people the opportunity to explore
different topics in a fast paced way and learn how to find
and establish new connections.
Three Communities Game.
16
We will invite people to play a simple game that will give
insights into what communities they are, and have been, a
part of.
We will ask people to share using the Two Truths, One Lie
game – which as the name suggests, involves an attendee
telling two truths and one lie about the communities they
are part of and the other person (or people) must guess
which one the lie is.

Connector ProfileConnector is an Open Innovation Studio based in Temple
Bar.
Powered by our Collaborate, Create and Connect model, we
created platforms such as SocialMedia.ie, TheSnapys.com
and Futurology.ie.
We leverage a fearless approach to creativity, a culture of
learning and a fast moving tech-startup environment to design
business strategy, prototype digital products, engage
influencers and produce ‘real world’ experiences.
Some of these ideas build brand, grow market share and
increase revenue for our clients while others become
business drivers within our own eco-system.
