Grow Dothan is committed to regional economic development and the Grow Dothan team recently visited with elected officials and community leaders in Geneva County. Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce President Matt Parker, Grow Dothan Chairman Mark Saliba, Alfred Saliba Corp., Chairman-Elect Forrest Register, Register Realty Co. Inc., and Director of External Affairs Dean Mitchell participated in a roundtable discussion with Wiregrass Electric Cooperative officials Les Moreland and Brad Kimbro, Alabama State legislators Sen. Harri Anne Smith and Rep. Donnie Chesteen, Hartford Mayor Jeff Sorrells, and Geneva Mayor Philip Carter. Discussions centered around job creation, workforce development and education initiatives.
GROWDOtHan
The Dothan Technology Center and Houston County Career and Technical Center recently provided tours of their facilities to the Grow Dothan team and various Wiregrass officials and legislators. Both schools play a vital role in education and workforce development for this region. Technology centers provide an important link to students to work-based learning. Thank you to DTC’s Terry Scott and HCCTC’s Glen Maloy for coordinating the tours.
