In-House expertise

Our staff of 53 Steel detailers, (average of 20 years experience),

42 checkers and 5 registered Professional Engineers, has provided

connection engineering services for over ten years on projects as

large as 28,000 tons.

We utilize DESCON, SDS/2 and RISA Connections for our in

house connection design programs, which enables us to provide

engineering services efficiently and cost effectively while incorporat-

ing your shop preferences.

Developed Process

All fabricators and construction managers will tell you how critical

connections are to the function, fit up and economy of a

steel-framed structure.

We design connections with the EOR, fabricator, and erector

in mind to ensure an economical, safe and code-compliant

connection.

We utilize Descon, SDS/2 and RISA Connections as our in

House design programs. Through these tools we create a

single 3D model that is used for additions and corrections

as per the EOR and through completion of the project.

ALGOR software is used for the FEA special connections when

situations occur.

You receive an organized Package/s of Connection Design sample

calculations in a PDF format, that can be sent ahead of time to speed

up the approval process.

Per your request, we can also provide a calculation package for each

connection with Professional Engineers stamp.

We also generate concise and easy-to-follow “detailer packages”

that contain all of the information the detailers and checking

staff would need.
