I think we can see the rewards of our hard work coming to fruition during the Stage 4 restrictions. We are clearly making progress in driving down the numbers, but we cant stop now, we still need to be vigilant. We hope you are keeping connected with friends and family and looking out for those who you know are doing it a little tough during this time. The hand of kindness is so rewarding and fulfilling. You just never know how the smallest gesture may brighten someones day. Dont forget we have Nadia and Sue who have been amazing in providing Yoga and Meditation sessions online since March. This is great way to gently work your body and relax the mind. Both are very important during this time. Also make sure you get out for your exercise each day. Whilst the weather has been gloomy this past week, it is still good to get out and grab that very important Vitamin D from the sun. Keep up the good work and stay safe. A big HELLO from us all here at the Hub.

I think we can see the rewards of our hard work coming

to fruition during the Stage 4 restrictions. We are clearly

making progress in driving down the numbers, but we

can’t stop now, we still need to be vigilant.

We hope you are keeping connected with friends and

family and looking out for those who you know are doing

it a little tough during this time. The hand of kindness is

so rewarding and fulfilling. You just never know how the

smallest gesture may brighten someone’s day.

Don’t forget we have Nadia and Sue who have been

amazing in providing Yoga and Meditation sessions

online since March. This is great way to gently work

your body and relax the mind. Both are very important

during this time. Also make sure you get out for your

exercise each day. Whilst the weather has been gloomy

this past week, it is still good to get out and grab that

very important Vitamin D from the sun.

Keep up the good work and stay safe.

Let's talk about COVID-drinking

It can take just 66 days to form a habit.

For Victorian’s this is longer than lockdown has lasted. The

habits picked up are more than just baking, jigsaws and

lunchtime walks.

Since COVID-19 started, some Victorians have reported

drinking a bit more than before. While this might just be a

few extra drinks, small changes can become harder to shift

over time. Importantly, even small increases in the amount

of alcohol you drink can take a toll on finances, and

relationships and have lasting impacts on physical and

mental health.

The message from the Alcohol and Drug Foundation is

simple; we're all still in this together, and there's lots of help

and support out there to help kick the habit.

Go to littlehabit.com.au for information on how to recognise

problem signs around drinking.

This photo was taken by Nadia our meditation tutor at last Friday’s informal class catch up on Zoom. The participants enjoyed getting to know one another over a cuppa and chat. “We had a great time, it was so nice to see all the familiar dear faces. We realise how important it is to come together even through Zoom. It was heart warming, and it lifted up our spirits! Thank you to everyone who participated. Definitely we will organise more of these events.” - Nadia Viglianti, Wednesday morning Guided Meditation and Relaxation tutor
