We visited our wonderful neighborhoods and beautiful parks. We also talked about the many opportunities for improvement in District 4, and some of the investments I think the City should be making in southeast Denver. The Mayor experienced the many challenges of Hampden and Colorado Boulevard, especially the lack of walkability and bikeability. With our four light rail stations, he knows we should have many more pedestrian friendly options for getting around without relying on only our cars. I shared with him what so many of you have asked me, “What can we do to make Hampden a “main street” with walkable shops and restaurants?” The tour ended at the Residences at University Hills where we visited with residents, including our former Councilwoman Peggy Lehmann. You are invited to hear from the Mayor and his staff on: Saturday, April 2, 911 am at Thomas Jefferson High School. Please join us for CABINET IN THE COMMUNITY. Inviting a Hampden Heights resident to our upcoming events
