Expanding biotoxin management program,

including cross training staff

water temperatures are above 68°F

Sampling

5634 seawater samples were collected and analyzed for fecal coliform

bacteria

220 phytoplankton samples were examined for harmful algal blooms

10 samples for tested for the presence of saxitoxin, which causes paralytic

shellfish poisoning

157 shellfish tissues samples were processed and analyzed for fecal

coliform bacteria

43 shellfish tissue, municipal wastewater, and seawater samples were

analyzed for Male-Specific Coliphage levels, used to evaluate viral impacts

from sewage events
