Connect50 Advocacy - Position Description The Connect50 Advocacy Project is a paid internship scheme that matches talented university and TAFE students with disability with roles in Victorian disability advocacy organisations. Position Title EACH - Consumer Engagement Project Support Intern Location Melbourne – Offices in Ringwood and Boronia Position Duration Must be a minimum of 152 hours (4 weeks full time equivalent) Commencing June/July 2020 Position Overview The Consumer Engagement Project Support Intern will provide assistance and support in the development and implementation of a project seeking direct customer feedback for quality improvement of disability support services. The role will work with staff from Inclusion & Diversity, Service Strategey, Marketing & Communications and Disability Services teams to establish a variety of channels strengthening the voice of our customers in improving services for people with a disability. The position is strongly aligned to EACH’s commitment to Inclusion and Diversity and its Disability Action Plan, the EACH Service Principles and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Standards. Position Overview

The Consumer Engagement Project Support Intern will provide assistance and support in the development and implementation of a project seeking direct customer feedback for quality improvement of disability support services. The role will work with staff from Inclusion & Diversity, Service Strategey, Marketing & Communications and Disability Services teams to establish a variety of channels strengthening the voice of our customers in improving services for people with a disability.

Key Accountabilities

Development of a project plan including key milestones and actions required to ensure successful project delivery.

Establishment of relationships and effective communication through a variety of key stakeholders and teams within EACH.

Management project data and reporitng through the exisiting suite of supporting project documents and templates.

Undertake customer feedback activies as directed by the project.These could be in the form of surveys, small focus group, direct customer communication, for example.

General administrative project support, as required.

Essential Criteria

Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently, with support from a supervisor, and as part of a variety of teams.

Prior experience demonstrating a clear process of prioritising work and adhering to timelines.

Experience working in a project environment that included the need to liase with a diverse range of people.

Excellent organisational and analytical skills.

Desirable Criteria

Intermediate skills with Microsfit Office Software. Including experience with Outlook, Sharepoint, Excel, Word.

Experience in writing and presenting reports

Ideal Degree/Discipline

A range of tertiary Students may be suitable and could include community development, community services, public health or a related discipline. However, key areas of study should include components of Project Management, Customer Experience, Markerting and Communications, Quality Improvement and Evaluation.

Eligibility Requirements

Second last or final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate University degree OR

Enrolled in a Certificate IV or Diploma at TAFE

Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents and International students are welcome to apply

Identify as having disability

Candidates are required to pass a National Police Check (and International Police Check/s, if relevant), Disability Exclusion Worker Scheme (DWES) and a Volunteer Working With Children Check
