Final Public Meeting University Village Area Plan
A committed Stakeholder Advisory Group has been working with North Cowichan
and the public to create Proposed Plans for both University Village and the Trans
Canada Highway Corridor. The final draft concept for the Plans and Trans Canada
Highway Corridor Management Plan will be presented to the public on April 14,
2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at a drop in open house at the Alexander School
Gymnasium. This final draft incorporates feedback gathered during a series of
Open Houses, and via the website. Please come and share your thoughts on the
final draft concept, see how the process evolved and how comments have been
incorporated and addressed. The plans and complete background, including public
commentary is available here.

Tickets are now on sale for one of Cowichan's most anticipated fundraisers of the
spring. Queen Margaret's School invites guests to enjoy the sights, sounds and
tastes of New Orleans. With emcee Jim Jackson of SunFM kicking off the party,
guests will enjoy a silent and live auction, a southern style dinner and dessert

National Volunteer Week April 6 - 12
National Volunteer Week - April 6-12 is fast approaching. As part of the weeks activities Volunteer Cowichan and
CRAD will host the Volunteer & Community Resources Fair, April 5 at the Duncan mall 10-2. Please see poster and
registration form attached. As part of the days events we will once again host the Helping Hands Volunteer
