The BC Chamber has partnered with the
Respect Group Inc. to offer a 1.5 hour
online training program for all employees of chambers and their members. This
program will assist so they are in compliance with the new workplace
discrimination, bullying and harassment provincial law (Bill 14, which came into
force Nov. 1, 2013). RGI meets the training requirements as outlined in the
WorkSafeBC legislation/toolkit. Fast, effective, accredited and economical, the
course is $32 for members (regularly $40). Contact the office to get your access
code and have the required training done by the end of the day.

UCBM Special Committee on BC Ferries - Members Requested to Participate in Online Survey
British Columbia local governments have formed a Special Committee to examine the economic significance of BC
Ferries cutbacks and fare increases. The Special Committee has been jointly established by the Association of
Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities and the Union of B.C. Municipalities, along with the Ferry Advisory
Committee Chairs and Coastal Regional District Chairs. The Special Committee will oversee the work of a consultant
who will conduct an analysis to estimate the economic significance of the proposed BC Ferries service reductions on
communities. The first report is expected later this month. The Committee is also interested in your input. Please
follow the link and submit your opinions regarding the ferry system.
