Junior Board ANNOUNCEMENT FOR NEW MEMBERS

The Jr. Board is looking for new members for next year. The Jr. Board is a group of skaters that is highly motivated to help in the community as well as promote figure skating.

The Jr. Board runs fundraising events to support our activities.

We meet once a month and are present at all Club Events. For club events, it is necessary to assist at Center Ice in Ontario.

If you are between the ages of 12-18 and are interested in becoming a member of the Jr. Board, please submit a short bio about yourself and e-mail to Helene Krasner (hjkrasner@aol.com) to place your name on the ballot.

It  takes  a  village…Did  you  know  that  we  have  dedicated  volunteers  who  spend  over  40  hours  a  week  during  and  leading  up  to  our  competitions?  

They  attend  to  details  such  as:• scheduling• practice  ice• ofAicials’  and  coaches’  hospitality                                      .  .  .  and  more

Just  a  few  extra  hands  for  a  few  hours  helps  A  LOT!    

Especially  in  the  climate  in  which  our  events  take  place.  

Did  you  know  that  monitors  get  the  best  seats  in  the  house?    Music  technicians  and  announcers  know  who  is  skating  and  when,  registration  volunteers  get  to  see  everyone  who  walks  in  and  out  and  really  get  to  sense  the  heartbeat  of  the  event.  If  you  love  to  hostess  and  organize,  hospitality  is  for  you!    

Please  take  a  moment  to  think  about  your  gifts  and  areas  of  expertise,  and  how  can  you  help  your  club  by  doing  something  you  enjoy.

Under their tutelage, the California Gold Senior team has been a member of Team USA since 2008. Jill and Amanda are eager and committed to growing more athletes to compete with this prestigious honor.

Do you know what tests you have taken? Did you know that they are available online on the U.S. Figure Skating website? You can access all sorts of information online at the USFS website. The website is located at www.usfigureskating.org

Go to the “Members Only” link in the upper right hand corner of the home page and enter your membership number. You’ll be given a password to sign in and can then fill out or update your member profile, see tests you have taken, the date taken, host club of the test session and the results.

You can also see your event history and results (qualifying events only), register for qualifying events, access the official U.S. Figure Skating Directory, keep up with Governing Council actions, access the online store and much, much more. Please take advantage of this site!
