InearlySeptemberwe are hoping to go to the Australian Institute ofMusic’sproductionof‘Rent’ the musical.

AIDA’sperformancesof‘Catherine’and‘Playhouse Creatures’ were challenging and innovativeperformances. Itwaswonderful to recognize theuseof techniques and conventions that we have beenstudyingindramaclass.Studentshadtheopportunityto analyse how effective the production ideas were. The subject matter of ‘Catherine’ was particularlychallengingas itgave insight into the lifeofRussia’sCatherinetheGreat.Theperformancewasfastpacedandpackedwithhumour,concentrationwasrequiredtomakeallthenecessaryconnectionsandunderstandtheallusionsandjokes.

Students have enjoyed lively entertainment andmoreofourseniorstudentsventuredouttothenextperformance.
