Many of you picked up a Miller’s Pyramid© recently at one of the events we aended to use as a teaching tool for didacc workshops. Email us at [email protected] with an image of you using the ASME Miller’s Pyramid© in your teaching by Monday 1st October 2012. The most innovave and unusual entry will be offered free registraon for the 2013 ASM in Edinburgh—a prize worth around £425! Aer a hecc Fesval me in Edinburgh and the thrill of the Olympics and Paralympics, our ASM seems a lifeme ago. Having started in the role of Communicaon and Markeng Officer at ASME in late June, I was plunged right in at the deep end when it came to aending the ASM. It was a busy few days but very producve: pung faces to names; gaining beer understanding of ASME and each of the Special Interest Groups. The Meeng was well aended and feedback was extremely posive, especially with regards to the quality of the workshops and the research presented. Other posive feedback included “holding the welcome drinks in the museum was inspired.” Our App was also well received as it gave you the opportunity to view the programme and inerary at the touch of a buon. Technology had a strong presence through- out the Meeng from the Wi-Fi availability and focus on social media to our sharp increase in Twier followers. This reflects the fact that Medical Educaon and Social Media do go hand in hand. If you haven't followed us yet, please do @asmeofficial. The ASM also offered us the opportunity to celebrate our 55th Anniversary. This was marked by a special cake at the Chair’s Drinks Recepon held on the Tuesday night. I look forward to next year’s Meeng at Edinburgh Napier University and hope to see you there! Our SIGs are also using Twier to communicate, please use the following hashtags during discussions: #JASME and #TASME.
