A conditional sentence is composed of 2 parts :
If-clause Main Clause

If Marie doesn't eat dinner, she gets hungry.

There are four types of conditional sentences
Type: 0
Type: 2
Type: 1
Type: 3
The zero conditional is used to talk about things which are always true – scientific facts and general truths.
Use

Paula would be sad if Jan left.Jan will not leave -- that's not going to happen.
If dogs had wings, they would be able to fly.
Dogs don't have wings -- that's impossible.
