Summer Internship*
Want to spend two years teaching on the Teach First Leadership Development Programme before working for PwC? Then apply to Teach First and PwC at the same time, but defer your entry to PwC. Not only will schools and pupils benefit from your enthusiasm and expertise, you’ll also develop a host of skills with Teach First that you can bring to the business world – from leadership and communication, to planning and problem-solving.
If you’re a Teach First participant (in your second year of teaching) or a Teach First ambassador (someone who’s successfully completed the two-year programme), you can apply for a graduate role with us via the PwC Leadership Programme.
The Teach First summer internship is a three-week paid placement with PwC. It’s a great way to get practical work experience that could lead to a job offer. You’ll spend three weeks in one of our business areas, learning about our work and organisation, as well as getting to grips with live project work and developing key skills. Perform well and we’ll offer you a graduate job in one of our business areas. *Teach First refer to this as a Summer Project.
Even when you join us, you can continue to engage with Teach First in a number of ways. You could become a Teach First Coach, supporting a participant as they undertake their second year. We currently have coaches all around the UK from PwC supporting Teach First participants. There’s also a very active Teach First alumni group at PwC – made up of over 150 ambassadors – who work with various schools and charities, not just helping financially, but also offering skills and expertise developed with PwC. Whether it’s accounting, project management, running CV writing courses or workshops to help people find jobs, we’re working to help achieve the Teach First vision.
