This Aztec Calendar Concrete Stamp pattern comprises 5 separateinterlocking stamp tools to create an impressive 84” diameter depiction of the Aztec Sun Stone also known as the Aztec Calendar. These stamping tools were meticulously researched, crafted and created by our artisans based on the original stone calendar found beneath the central plaza of Mex-ico City in the 18th century. The monument is not a fully functioning cal-endar, but commemorates the five myth-ic world creations “suns” as depictedin the inner circle and then surround-ed by a band of twenty glyphs with the names of the days of the week.

Part # 9F01 -This fossil fish stamp tool comes from the Green River Shale formation of Wyoming. 50 million years ago the area was covered by a large tropical fresh water lake teaming with an abundance of fish and aquatic life. This particular species of fish is Priscacara Liops and is quite abundant in the shale formation, the fossil fish itself measures 13” x 4” and the stamp tool has an overall approximate size of 18” x 9”

Part # 9F02 -The overall dimensions of this stamp tool are approximately 27” x 20” with a light slate texture. The actual size of the fossil Nothosaur is 17” x 4 ½”. This particular species of Nothosaur is known as Keichousarus Hui and was a marine reptile, with a long serpentine neck and tail, it lived in the warm tropical waters of the Triassic Period.

Part # 9F03 -This unique stamping tool replicates the Procolophon Trigoniceps of the early Triassic period. The Procolophon was a liz-ard like herbivore with peg like teeth and is quite possibly an early ancestor to all the turtles and tortoises it subsequently died out during the age of the dinosaurs. The overall stamp tool is approximately 18” x 9” with the actual fossil image be-ing 14” x 7”. This tool is available in both a positive and negative images.

Fossil Pterodactyl ToolPart # 9F10 -The late Jurassic period had some of the most interesting creatures ever known, such as this Pterodactyls An-tiquus a winged carnivorous dinosaur, this concrete stamp tool replicates the fossilized bones of this creature in a positive format surrounded by a slate texture. The overall size of the stamp tool is 42” x 38”

Fossil Archaeopteryx Tool

Part # 9F13 -Originally discovered in a limestone quarry in Germany the Archaeopteryx is the earliest and most primitive bird known. Despite its small size, broad wings, and inferred ability to fly or glide, Archaeopteryx has more in common with small theropod dinosaurs than it does with modern birds. This “dinosaur with feathers” which lived during the late Jurassicperiod is a clear candidate for a transitional fossil between dinosaurs and birds, this concrete stamp tool replicates the bones and feathers in a positive format surrounded by a light slate texture. The overall size of the stamp tool is 45” x 34”.

Part # 9F14 -We find the origins of this fossil fish in the Green River Formation of Wyoming dating back to the Eocene era when much of the area was covered by a large tropical fresh water lake teaming with an abundance of fish. This particular specimen is 13” long and is a member of the species Phareodus a predecessor of modern day perch. The overall stamp tool is 14” x 27” with a slate texture.

Part # 9F15 -Here is yet another species of fossil fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming which dates back the Eocene era when much of the area of Utah, Colorado and Wyoming was covered by a large tropical fresh water lake. This specimen is just over 18” long and 7” wide and is a member of the species Diplomystus Dentatus. The overall stamp tool is 14” x 28” with a slate texture.

Fossil Sea Floor Tool

Part # 9F16 -This concrete stamping tool replicates an aquatic turtle surrounded by a light slate texture. The turtle is 16” long from the head to the tip of its tail with a width of 7”. Turtles are among the oldest living creatures on earth with a fossil record dating back 200 million years. The overall size of this stamp tool is 32” x 18”

Part # 9F17 -This concrete stamping tool creates a classic replication of the fossilized lake bottom creatures of the Green River Formation of the Eocene era. The depiction here is two fossilized fish from the extinct genus Priscacra along withammonites and clams in a slate texture. The fossil fish are related to perch and are each approximately 7” long by 4” with the overall stamping tool being approximately 30” by 18”.

Fossil Shunosaurus Tool

Part # 9F18 -This Shunosaurus fossil stamp tool originates from the Middle Jurassic Period approximately 170 million years ago, exca-vated in the Sichuan Province in China during the late 20th century. These excavations produced some of the most com-plete sauropod skeletons known. The saurapod family represents some of the largest creatures to ever roam the earth, such as the Diplodocus and Apatosaurus. This stamping tool has an overall size of 30” x 20” with a slate texture, with the Shunosaurus being approximately 20” x 15”.

Fossil Trilobite ToolsTrilobites represent a large group of extinct marine arthropods that thrived from the lower Cambrian thru the Devonian period, the last of Trilobite species disappeared in the mass global extinction at the end of the Permian period. The easily fossilized exoskeletons created an extensive fossil record with over 18,000 known species of Trilobites spanning some 300 million years.

Part # 9F19 -This stamping tool depicts a group of 4 trilobites from the Order Lichida with the largest one at 4” x 3” and the smallest one 21⁄2” x 13⁄4” in a light slate texture with an overall stamp tool size approximately 14” x 20”.

Part # 9F20 -This concrete stamp tool replicates a pair of trilobites from the Order Corynexochida with the larger one 5” x 31⁄2” and the smaller one 4” x 21⁄2” in a light slate texture with an overall tool size approximately 14” x 20”.

Smith Color Floor is a water-based extra-strength stain developed to give a decorative natural appearance to concrete floors and other porous mediums. It is an excellent tool for the concrete market that can produce unbelievable works of art. Formulated as a user-friendly alternative to hazardous solvent and acid-based stains, Color Floor utilizes state-of-the-art acrylic polymer research and pigment preparation to ensure the highest quality results. Thanks to its superior adhesion, the stain works well on a variety of surfaces including, but not limited to, interior and exterior concrete, brick, plaster and natural stone. Color Floor can be applied to previously sealed surfaces, allowing an applicator to save jobs with little hassle. In addition to the Classic Series (semi-transparent stains), Smith’s Color Floor is available in Old World Series (transparent stains) and Bright Light Series (high-chroma stains). Color Floor can be applied via airbrush, high volume low pressure unit (HVLP), production gun, pump (bug) sprayer, sea sponge and traditional bristle brush. For best results, create a “mist” of Smith’s Color Floor on the intended surface. A variegated finish is achieved through the various absorbency of the surface material as well as the differing specific gravities of the color pigments. Roller application methods force absorption of the diluted stain resulting in mechanical lines. These stains require a top coat; Smith’s Seal WB, Smith’s WB Polyurethane and Smith’s Polyurethane SB are recommended low VOC film forming sealers.
