    1 User instructions

    1.1 About this operator's manual

    This operator's manual is component part of the electronic control unit opera-tor's manual.The operator's manual contains important instructions for the safe, correct and economical operation and maintenance of the electronic control unit. Your at-tention will help to prevent dangers, reduce repair costs and downtime and will increase the reliability and service life of the machine being controlled.The operating manual must be kept within reach at the place of operation of the electronic control unit (e. g. in the tractor).The operating manual does not replace the responsibility of the owner and op-erating personnel of the electronic control unit.

    1.2 Information on layout

    1.2.1 Meaning of safety instructions

    The warnings in the operator's manual are classified according to how serious the danger is and the probability of its occurrence.The warning symbols draw attention to the unavoidable residual risks inherent in the design to which users of the electronic control unit are exposed.     2.4.1 overview

    CCI 100 operation consists of 18 touch keys (6 strictly-defined and 12 free touch keys) as well as a selection key, a stop switch and a rear function key.

    2.4.2 Selection button

    The selection button serves for quick navigation in the menu and for entering or editing data in input fields. Turn the selection button to jump between areas that can be selected. Press the selection button to confirm the selection.

    8 Stop switch The stop switch shifts the connected device into secure mode. The stop switch is not supported by all ISOBUS terminals. See page 10.

    2.4.3 Function buttons

    Groups of function keys are vertically arranged on the left and right of the CCI 100 screen. Depending on the terminal model, 1x6 (minimum requirement), 2x5 or 2x6 function keys (like with CCI 100) can be provided.Function key allocation is dependant on the menu icons displayed. Generally, a function is executed by pressing the function key next to the symbol.Function keys that do not have a symbol next to them do not function in the re-spective menu icons.

    2.4.4 Stop switch

    The stop switch switches all connected devices in to secure mode when it is ac-tuated.To release the stop switch, turn this in the arrow direction until the switch springs out.

    2.4.5 Rear navigation key

    The navigation key on the rear enables switching the allocation of the function keys from the left to the right side of the screen and vise versa.

    2.5 Screen

    The screen displays the current status information, selection and input options of the electronic AXIS EMC control unit on the terminal.The basic information for operating the solid fertiliser distributor is displayed in the operation icon and the secondary menu icons.

    3 Attachment and installation

    3.1 Tractor requirements

    Before installing the electronic control unit, check to make sure the tractor fulfils the following requirements: Minimum voltage 11 V is essential at all times, even if multiple consumers

    are connected simultaneously (e.g. air conditioner, lights). The PTO speed can be set to 540 rpm and must be maintained (basic re-

    quirement for correct working width).

    9-pin socket (ISO 11783) on the rear of the tractor for connecting the control unit with the ISOBUS.

    9-pin terminal socket (ISO 11783) for connecting ISOBUS terminals to the ISOBUS.

    NOTICE

    On tractors without load-switchable gears, the ground speed must be selected by using the correct gear ratio in such a way that it corresponds to a PTO speed of 540 rpm.

    NOTICE

    If the tractor does not have a 9-pin socket on the rear, then a tractor installation with a 7-pin socket can be purchased as an optional accessory for the tractor (ISO 11786) and the driving speed sensor.

    3.2 Connections, sockets

    3.2.1 Power supply

    The power supply for the electronic control unit is a 9-pin socket on the rear of the tractor.

    3.3 Connect the electronic control unit

    Depending on the equipment, the electronic control unit can be connected to the solid fertiliser broadcaster in different ways. Additional details can be found in the electronic control unit operating manual.

    The AXIS 20.1 Q, AXIS 30.1 W, AXIS 30.1 Q, AXIS 40.1 W, AXIS 40.1 Q and AXIS 50.1 W solid fertiliser spreaders have an electric slide control for adjusting the spreading volume.

    Observe the position of the metering slideOperation of the actuators via the ISOBUS terminal can cause damage to the metering slide if the stop levers are incorrectly posi-tioned. Always clamp the stop lever at the maximum position on

    4.2 Switching on the ISOBUS terminal

    Requirements: The electronic control unit is connected correctly to the solid fertiliser spread-

    er and to the tractor (for an example, see chapter 3.3: Connect the electronic control unit, page 14).

    The voltage is at least 11 V.

    n CAUTION

    Risk of injury from discharged fertiliserOnly for mineral fertiliser spreaders equipped with electronic con-trol units.In the event of faults, the metering slide could open unexpectedly en route to the spreading location. There is a danger of people slipping on the discharged fertiliser and injuring themselves. Before setting off to the spreading location, you must

    switch off the electronic control unit.

    Press and hold the ISOBUS terminal ON/OFF key. After a few seconds, the start interface appears on the

    electronic control unit. The boot menu is displayed shortly thereafter. Then the operating screen appears.

    The settings for spreading work are displayed on this operating screen. Additional sub-menus of the electronic control device can be accessed via different function keys (see page 21).

    Display config.The display field in the operating screen of the electronic control unit [Position [6], Figure 4.2] can be individually adjusted. You can assign three display fields with the following values if desired: km/h (ground speed) FF (flow factor) ha rest (possible area where remaining fertiliser can be spread over) ha trip (area covered since the last time the trip counter was cleared) kg trip (volume spread since the last time the trip counter was cleared) m trip (spread distance since the last time the trip counter was cleared) kg rest (remaining fertiliser) m rest (possible distance where the remaining fertiliser can be spread)1. Select the desired display field via the electronic control unit navigation. The possible displays are listed in the display.

    2. Select a new value that should be displayed in the display field and confirm with OK.

    The new value is entered in the selected display field.

    Function key in the operating screen

    - Switch between the main menu and the current operating screen via the main menu function key.

    - The weighing-trip counter can be accessed via the Trip counter menu.

    - Start or stop regulating the application rate via the Start/Stop function key.

    - Select either the left, the right or both spreading discs via the L%R% function key, through which increased/reduced volumes should be spread.

    - The application rate can be increased to a maximum in-creased volume (set at +10% per step in the example) via the +X% function key.

    - The application rate can be increased to a minimum in-creased volume (set at -10% per step in the example) via the -X % function key.

    - The increased/reduced volume can be reset to the previ-ous basic volume via the 100% function key.

    - The spreader function can be activated/deactivated via the Telimat function key.When activated, the set volume is au-tomatically limited to the right spreading disc to a freely se-lectable volume.

    - Spreading fertiliser can be switched on/off on the left spreading disc via the Part width left function key.

    - Spreading fertiliser can be switched on/off on the right spreading disc via the Part width right function key.

    In the kg left section, you can access the remaining fertiliser volume in the hopper. The menu shows the possible area (ha) and distance (m) that the rem-nant fertiliser can be spread over.

    Entering the remaining fertiliser volume when refilling (not with weigh spreaders AXIS 30.1 W, 40.1 W and 50.1 W)1. Fill the hopper.2. Enter the total weight of the fertiliser in the hopper in the section Rest (kg). The device calculates the values for areas and distances that can be

    spread.

    NOTICE

    The current load weight can only be determined in the weighing spreader by weighing. In all other spreaders the remaining fertiliser volume is calculated from the fertiliser and machine settings and from the travelling signal and the in-put of the filling volume must be made manually (see below).The values for application rate and working width cannot be changed in this menu. They are for information only.

    not be laid down. The PTO drive shaft must be switched off.

    The weigh remnant function can only be accessed: if it concerns a weigh spreader with the solid fertiliser spreader being used. if the machine is stopped. if the system is in Auto km/h + Auto kg or Auto km/h + stat. kg operating

    modes (the default mode during delivery of the electronic control unit is Auto km/h + Auto kg mode).

    - Refill: Continue spreading with the same fertiliser.- Weigh remnant: Only weigh remnant in AUTO km/h and stat. kg mode.

    This returns you to the operating screen.

    4.7.1 Flow factor

    The desired flow factor can be set in this selection. If you know the flow factor from earlier calibration tests or from the fertiliser chart, you can enter it manually in this selection.

    The flow factor can be determined via the weighing system with the weighing spreader. Data can also be entered manually.

    4.7.2 Drop point

    The drop point setting can only be performed with the AXIS 50.1 W with electric drop point adjustment

    Entering the drop point:

    2. Determine the position for the drop point from the fertiliser chart. Enter the val-ue in the input field and confirm it. The new value is saved.

    If the drop point is blocked Alarm 17 appears; see chapter 5: Alarm messages and possible causes, page 57.

    NOTICE

    On the solid fertiliser spreader AXIS 50.1 W (operating mode Auto km/h + Auto kg), we recommend displaying the flow factor on the operating screen (see: Display config., page 20) in order to observe the flow factor regulation dur-ing spreading.

    1. Select the drop point entry in the Fertiliser settings menu. An input window appears on the display.

    n CAUTION

    Danger of injury caused by automatic adjustment of the drop pointThe move to drop point alarm is displayed with the solid fertiliser spreader AXIS 50.1 W.After actuating the Start/Stop button, the drop point is automatically approached using the electrical setting cylinder to the pre-set value. This can result in injury. Before actuating the Start/Stop, function button, ensure

    that no one is in the danger area of the machine.

    NOTICE

    Emergency actuation on the AXIS 50.1 must not stop the adjustment of the drop point. Otherwise the setting unit for the drop point can suffer damage.

    4.7.3 Calibration test

    The flow factor is calculated on the basis of a calibration test and saved in the electronic control unit in this menu.Run the calibration test: Before spreading for the first time. If the fertiliser quality has changed greatly (moisture, high dust content,

    cracked grain). If a new type of fertiliser is being used.The calibration test must be conducted (with engaged PTO shaft) at a standstill or during travel over a test section. Remove both spreading discs and move the drop point to calibration position

    (AGP 0) (performed automatically via electric drop point adjustment).

    NOTICE

    On the weighing spreader the calibration test menu is blocked in the AUTO km/h + Auto kg operating mode; the menu point cannot be selected.

    n WARNING

    Risk of injury when performing the calibrationRotating machine components and discharged fertiliser may cause injury. Before starting the calibration test make sure that all

    requirements have been met. Follow the Calibration sec-tion in the operating manual for the fertiliser spreader.

    2. Enter the average work speed and select next.This value is required for calculating the slide position during the calibration test.

    3. Set the spreading width that should be used during the calibration test.

    Select the calibration test entry in the main menu. The alarm Move to drop point is displayed with the

    AXIS 50.1 W.

    Danger of injury caused by automatic adjustment of the drop pointOn the AXIS 50.1 W the alarm Move to drop point is displayed. After actuating the Start/Stop button, the drop point moves to the calibration test position (AGP 0). After the calibration test the drop point is approached automatically by means of an electrical set-ting cylinder. This can result in injury. Before actuating the Start/Stop button, ensure that no one

    is in the danger area of the machine.

    1. Start the move to drop point by confirming alarm via the Start/Stop button.

    - Press the spreading width left button to select the left spreading side and/or

    - press the spreading width right button to select the right spreading side.

    4. Start the calibration test by pressing the Start/Stop button. The opening slide of the previously selected part width is

    opened. The calibration test is started.

    5. In order to end the calibration test, press the Start/Stop key again. The opening slide is closed. The Input collected weight menu is displayed.

    6. Weigh the spread fertiliser amount.7. Enter the weight of the discharged fertiliser via the input field in the dis-

    charged volume section and confirm it. A new flow factor appears in the display.

    8. Specify the flow factor.To accept the newly calculated flow factor press the confirm flow factor button.To confirm the previously saved flow factor press the ESC key. The flow factor is saved. The alarm move to drop point is displayed with the AXIS 50.1 W.

    NOTICE

    The calibration test can be stopped at any time by pressing the ESC key. The opening slide is then closed and the Fertiliser Settings menu appears in the display.

    NOTICE

    The calibration test time is not relevant to the accuracy of the results. However, at least 20 kg must be spread.

    n CAUTION

    4.8.2 Automatic mode with automatic weighing (AUTO km/h + Auto kg)

    The AUTO km/h + Auto kg operating mode allows for continuous weighing of the fertiliser volume in the hopper during spreader operation. The regulation of the flow factor is corrected at regular intervals on the basis of this information. This optimises the metering of the fertiliser.

    a) Select Auto km/h + Auto kg:1. Switch on the ISOBUS terminal.2. Switch from the Machine settings menu to the Operating modemenu.3. Select the AUTO km/h + AUTO kg entry from the selection list and confirm

    with OK. The Weigh Volume window appears.

    4. Case a: New fertiliser: The flow factor is reset to 1.0.If necessary, the required flow factor can be

    added later.See 4.7.1: Flow factor, page 37.Case b: Refill: The flow factor setting is retained. The remaining fertiliser volume is increased by the refilling volume.

    If, during running (i. e. travelling to the field) a change is made to the fertiliser settings, before starting to spread you must actuate the kg/Weigh Volume but-ton with the vehicle stopped.

    NOTICE

    We recommend that the flow factor be displayed in the operating screen (see : Display config., page 20), in order to watch the flow factor regulation whilst spreading.

    4.8.3 Automatic mode with static weighing (AUTO km/h + Stat. kg)

    The AUTO km/h + Stat. kg operating mode is recommended for spreading on uneven hilly terrain and/or for low application rates. Automatic flow factor regula-tion does not take place during spreading. However, you can use the Weigh Remnant function to recalculate the flow factor.

    a) Select Auto km/h + Stat. kg:1. Switch on the ISOBUS terminal.2. Fill the hopper with the fertiliser.3. Leave the machine settings menu.4. Select the AUTO km/h + stat. kg mode in the operating mode input field and

    confirm with OK. The Weigh quantity window appears.

    5. Select a new fertiliser in the input field. The flow factors is reset to 1.0.

    The control unit switches to the operating screen.

    NOTICE

    In the event of problems with the regulating behaviour of the flow factor (block-ages etc.), at a standstill and after resolution of the fault use the Weighing trip counter button in the Weigh Volume Weigh Volume New Fertiliser function.

    NOTICE

    The AUTO km/h + Stat. kg menu only appears on the display if the AXIS W fer-tiliser spreader has been configured in the factory.

    b) Procedure when spreading with Auto km/h + stat. kg:1. Carry out the fertiliser settings:

    manually.5. Press the Start/Stop button. The spreading starts.

    6. Press the Start/Stop button after at least 150 kg of distributed fertiliser.7. Stop the tractor on even ground.

    8. Switch via the weighing trip counter button in the weighing trip counter menu.9. The weigh quantity menu is accessed.10. Highlight the Weigh remnant selection field. The spreading volume is compared to the actual remnant volume in the

    hopper. The flow factor is then recalculated accordingly.

    11. Press confirm flow factor to confirm the recalculated flow factor. Press ESC to use the flow factor that was previously used.

    NOTICE

    Remnant scale may not be selected after filling.

    NOTICE

    The solid fertiliser spreader must be level.

    NOTICE

    If, during running (i. e. travelling to the field) a change is made to the fertiliser settings, before starting to spread you must actuate the kg/Weigh Volume but-ton with the vehicle stopped.

    4.8.7 +/- appl. rate

    The percentage of volume adjustment for normal spreading can be gradually de-termined in this menu.The basis (100 %) is the preset value of the metering slide opening. To adjust the volume, press the following buttons on the operating screen:

    Specifying weight reduction:1. Switch from the Machine settings menu to the +/- volume menu.2. Enter the percentage value by which you wish to modify the spreading vol-

    ume.3. Confirm the entry with OK.

    - +10% to increase the increased volume (in 10 % intervals)

    - -10% to decrease the decreased volume (in 10 % inter-vals)

    - 100% to return to the preset values of the metering open-ing.

    4.9 Fast emptying

    The Fast emptying menu can be selected to clean the machine after spreading or to discharge the remaining weight quickly.

    NOTICE

    Before starting fast emptying make sure that all requirements have been met. Please refer to the solid fertiliser spreader operating manual (Emptying rem-nants).

    1. Press the Main menu button on the Operating screen. This returns you to the main menu.

    2. Press the Fast emptying button.

    Danger of injury caused by automatic adjustment of the drop pointOn the AXIS 50.1 W the alarm move to drop point is displayed. After actuating the Start/Stop button, the drop point moves to the calibration test position (AGP 0). The drop point is then approached automatically using an electric setting cylinder.     4. Set the spreading width that should be used during the fast emptying.

    - Press the spreading width left button to select the left spreading side and/or

    - press the spreading width right button to select the right spreading side.

    5. Start the fast emptying by pressing the Start/Stop button. The opening slide of the previously selected part width is

    opened. Fast emptying is started.

    6. To stop fast emptying, press the Start/Stop button again.

    7. Press the ESC button to return to the main menu or press the main menu button to return to the operating screen.

    Various alarm messages can be displayed on the ISOBUS terminal display.

    5.1 Meaning of alarm messages

    Rauch units are manufactured with modern production methods and with the greatest care and are subject to numerous inspections.Therefore RAUCH offers a 12-month warranty subject to the following conditions: The warranty begins on the date of purchase. The warranty covers material and manufacturing faults. Our liability for third-

    party products (hydraulic system, electronics) is limited to the warranty of the manufacturer of the equipment. During the warranty period manufacturing and material faults are corrected free of charge by replacement or repair of the affected parts. Other rights extending beyond the above, such as claims for conversion, reduction or replacement for damages that did not occur in the object of supply are explicitly excluded. Warranty services are provided by authorised workshops, by RAUCH factory representatives or the factory.

    The guarantee excludes the consequences of natural wear, contamination with dirt, corrosion and all faults caused by inappropriate handling and exter-nal influences. The warranty is rendered void if the owner carries out repairs or modifications to the original state of the object of supply. Warranty claims are rendered void if RAUCH original spare parts were not used. Please follow the directions in the operator's manual. In all cases of doubt contact our fac-tory representatives or the factory directly. Warranty claims must be submit-ted to the factory by 30 days at the latest after occurrence of the problem. The date of purchase and the serial number are required. If repairs under the war-ranty are required, they must be carried out by the authorised workshop only after consultation with RAUCH or the company's appointed representatives. The warranty period is not extended by work carried out under warranty. Shipping faults are not factory faults and therefore are not part of the warranty obligation of the manufacturer.

    No claims for compensation for damages that are not part of the fertiliser spreader itself will be accepted. This also means that no liability will be ac-cepted for damages resulting from spreading errors. Modifications made to the loading wagon or the fertiliser spreader may result in consequential dam-ages and the supplier will not accept any liability for such damages. In the event of intent or gross negligence of the owner or a senior employee and in cases faults in the object of supply cause personal injury or damage to private property the supplier's limit to liability will not apply. It will also not apply in the case of faults in properties that are explicitly assured, if the assurance had the purpose of protecting the purchaser against damage that does not arise from the object of supply itself.
