Bio-Tite™ Specimen Containers feature an all plastic cap and vial transport system specifically designed for the collection and transport of fluids, solids andpowders. The containers are ideal for the collection of urine, formalin or fixative fillsand histology transport.

The stackable, shatter-resistant containers are manufactured from virginpolypropylene and have a proprietary, all plastic, leak-resistant seal that preventsbio-hazardous spills. Bio-Tite® containers are quality controlled using pressures,making them ideal for use in various transport systems.

The manufacturing technology that centers primarily on bi-component molding andadvanced plastic tooling design allows the product to be manufactured with severalinherent value-added features. Product Description:

Single specimen collection kits consist of an 8oz collection cup, temperatureindicator strip, specimen bag with absorbent pad and a 45mL transport vial.

Items are sealed inside the collection cup with a foil top lid. To use, simplypeel away the foil top lid and remove the components inside the cup.Provide the donor with the collection cup.

Once the collection is complete, pour off 30mL of urine into the transportvial. Now seal the vial by closing the hinged lid on top until it snaps closed(note: evidence tape may be administered over the top of the vial to protectthe integrity of the specimen – supplied separately as requested).

The vial should be placed in the front pocket of the specimen bag while thecompleted requisition is placed in the rear pocket. Seal the specimen bagby removing the blue release liner on the bag and folding the flap over thepockets. Unless a box is required to transport the specimen to a testlaboratory, arrange for courier transport to the laboratory of choice using thecouriers recommended guidelines and transport packaging. Temperaturereading of the initial specimen should be administered as laboratory testguidelines indicate.
