1. It would be great to help people get off of SA, we have opportunities to

create employment. Let’s do it!

2. Counseling for all people by either a respected elder or professional.

3. More job readiness workshops & training need to be coordinated and

4. Organized between Social Development and Chehalis Employment Ser-

vices.

5. Target audience should be employable clients, on EI or under-employed.

6. Administration needs to be more informative on what is offered.

7. Pamphlet should be sent out to members identifying what is offered here

in the community.

8. More job training programs offered on and off reserve.

9. Employment training for single parents and childcare support.

10. Skill training for members aimed at self-government.

11. Skills for members to provide services on reserve e.g., guide members

toward education to become nurses, social workers, teachers, doctors,

administration etc.

12. Social Assistance should be provided to only those who require support.

13. Having someone assist people in finding employment for people on SA.

14. Social Assistant workers should focus on one job to best suit community

needs.

15. Our band needs to increase their knowledge to improve services in order

for us to move ahead and progress.

16. Safety training for children ( good touch, bad touch).

Potential future Leq'á:mel Leaders participated in a information session dinner and survey

on December 6, 2012. The youth were eager to learn about their History and did extremely well in answering survey questions pertaining to their History! All youth who

attended received a Wall Mart Gift Certificate.
