Composition Anticipation Guide

• Please give your honest opinion to the following statements; these statements are meant to be generalities, a way for us to see where we stand individually and collectively as we begin the class. And, yes, each has an intended metamessage.

1. I look at a challenge as something to be avoided or finessed rather than an

opportunity to improve myself.

with my improvement as a reader, writer, and thinker.

7. I need to read differently in order to become a better writer.
