    The concept will be able to create a positive and conduciveclassroom climate

    Classroom management should be seen as a bigger scope

    FLOOR PLAN

    Purpose- to help the teacher to arrange the objects inthe classroom

    By having the floor plan, teacher will have an overview

    of how to have a suitable arrangement of theclassroom.

    For example, the teacher should ensure the sittingarrangement are flexible and suitable for a certainactivity

    Teacher must take into account the social relationshipsamong the students; able to cultivate moral values

    CLEANLINESS, VENTILATION AND

    LIGHTING

    Purpose: to ensure that students are comfortable and enjoy tobe in school

    Teacher should foster the value of maintaining a cleanclassroom environment; having a duty roster

    Example; b having a monthly for the cleanest classroomwould be able to motivate the student to preserve thehygiene of the classroom

    Ventilation and lighting; a class should have windows pan andfan to ensure the air can flow smoothly into the classroom

    A classroom without window pans and doors will become darkand student will feel uncomfortable

    Thus, enable to focus with the lesson

    SITTING ARRANGEMENT

    By mixing the students based on their sittingarrangement, it is believed that the students will mixaround and make friends of the various ethnics.

    It is also believed that they will learn and understand thedifferent culture and ethnics of their friends in theclassroom

    Thus, teacher will be able to foster a positive moralvalues among the students, eg. Respect

    It is a corner where a computer is placed

    Help the students to find extra information of certaintopics

    A place where teacher and students can have aninteractive activity by using the computer

    Teacher should encourage the students to share the

    equipment, simultaneously fostering the values oftolerance and patience among them.

    Students should be able to explore it and it is believedthat it can help the students to be more creative andinnovative

    DECORATION CORNER

    It is a corner where the students decorate their classroom withthe teachers help.

    Students should be given freedom on how they want to

    decorate the classroom

    Students need to work together and cooperate with eachother to decorate the classroom

    Other than that, students will be able to increase theircreativity by decorating their class

    To maintain good relationship between the teacher andstudents, students will be given freedom on the classdecoration, preparation of the duty roster, info-board, etc.

    2.1 THE CONCEPT AND PURPOSE OF SOCIO-

    EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT

    Socio-emotional word consists of two words social and emotional.

    According to Kamus Pelajar, Third Edition, socially defined as allaspects of society, community and social matters.

    About social development is a process when a child learns inrelation to others in a manner that is acceptable to society andculture.

    Social development of a child consists of skills to interact withothers, the formation of self-esteem and self-control.

    Social identity and self-understanding of children growing in twostages, namely the: Self existence

    and self-regulation category (Lewis, 1995; Lewis & Books-Gunn, 1979).

    The word emotion is derived from the Greek word "emovere"which means "to go out". Thus, emotion is an affective feelingsexperienced by an individual in a situation that gives meaning tohim.

    It can also be defined as a response projected out as a stimulus

    to the feelings of emotions.

    Psychologists and physiologist view that emotions involve feelings,intuition, physiological reactions and emotional statement.

    Emotions can be divided into two positive emotions such as

    happy, excited and negative emotions are anger, frustration andothers.

    Therefore, socio-emotional among children is defined as aprocess of interaction and adaptation of themselves to theirsociety.

    2.2 DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIO-

    EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT IN THE

    CLASSROOM

    A healthy socio-emotional development is very important inone's life. This aspect will affect a student's learning andenable pupils to learn to control their emotions, thoughts andactions in order to adapt to the classroom.

    Development of students' socio-emotion starts with the abilityto understand and manage their own emotions and enablestudents to understand the needs, emotions and points ofother peoples POV.

    This is to develop social skills in the classroom with students ofdiverse backgrounds.

    The teacher's role is very important in the management ofsocio-emotion by; emphasising on the ability and confidenceto interact with fellow students in the classroom.

    THEORIES OF SOCIO-EMOTIONAL

    MANAGEMENT:

    Bandura felt that the emotional development of childrenis raised by imitation.

    He felt that children imitate the observed behaviour and

    emotional responses which they have nevermade before.

    The way children express their emotions depends on: What he has learned about the acceptance by the

    community,

    The most rewarding and

    The ones that can get him something that he wants in the mostinstant and simple manner.

    Erik Erikson's theory emphasized the importance ofsocial relationships with individuals in the child'senvironment.

    According to Erikson, a child's personality is formedas a result of this psychosocial development .

    Success or failure to achieve or solve the crisis willbring implications to the self-image of the individual.

    LESSONS STRATEGY IN MANAGING SOCIO-

    EMOTIONAL LEARNING THROUGH PLAY:

    Doing "Learning through play" is one of the teaching strategiesthat can pay attention students socio-emotional aspect in amulticultural classroom.

    Learning through play is a planned and structured approachto provide opportunities for students to learn in a fun andmeaningful manner.

    Approach to learning through play is given special emphasis

    in teaching and learning as play is the nature of children.

    Learn Through Play is one of the strategies that can beused by a teacher to encourage social interaction andto control childrens emotional naturally.

    Play is a spontaneous process that can make theexperience, education and skills.

    Play allows children to do creative activities.

    For children who are growing up, playing is a necessity.Through play children can learn many things and it isknown as informal learning.

    Froebel (1782 - 1852) created a KindergartenProgramme in German for children of age 4 to 5 yearsusing the concept of Learning while Playing'.

    He believes that the most effective learning process is anenjoyable activity.

    Play is one of the exhilarating activities where childrenplay to improve their skills.

    Meanwhile, Dewey (1852 - 1859) also encourageslearning through play because pleasure is a right forevery child.

    2.4 IMPORTANCE OF SOCIO-

    EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT

    Teachers need to manage pupils socio-emotioneffectively because teachers who fail to do so willgive an impact on the students achievement.

    What will happen with bad socio-emotionalmanagement are as follow: Teaching and learning process will be interrupted.

    Non-conducive classroom climate will bring negative

    consequences on students overall performance Causes mental pressure on students and teachers

    Pupils feel disturbed and uncomfortable

    Pupils are difficult to focus on teaching and learning

    2.5 SUMMARY

    This topic discusses the management of students' socio-emotional aspect and the importance of the teachersrole in managing the students socio-emotion consistingof a pluralistic society.

    Among the important aspects are the following:
