Mon W/B 02/09/14 (Detailed Weekly Summary)

Established working group in class. Gave each person various roles, discussed casting choosing ourselves for convenience.

Brainstorm ideas for song and video


Brainstormed couple ideas for video. Research different songs, choose a couple as individuals then re-group and decide between them.


Chose song for music video: Sweet Disposition – Temper Trap Start thinking about what we want to do with the video, decide on style of the video.


Decided on various ideas for music video, a rough idea of where we want to go with it. Decided on style for video: Narrative/Conceptual

Analyse music video in class, help us get some ideas for our own video.


Analysed Kanye Wests “Homecoming” music video for product research

Practice with the camera, get familiar with the equipment.


Went out with the cameras to record some test footages, getting ourselves familiar with the equipment and the different shot types.

Upload footage onto computer, practice editing skills.


Practiced editing a few clips together in lesson using Adobe Premier, quick introduction to the software.

Create mind map of music video ideas


Brainstormed ideas for video in mind map; theme, style, setting, characters and iconography

Film some shots of scenery out of a car window

Film over weekend and next week – fair ground and fireworks/bonfire at Irlam

Ensure everything is on blog, finish off bits and pieces that need doing. Start evaluation questions on powerpoint, prezi and word.
