The Competitive Intelligence Workshop as a development opportunity

As a discipline, competitive intelligence is relatively new and, as a profession, it is often not understood correctly. It can assist managers to discover new markets or businesses, predict a competitors actions, beat

the competition to market, decide which companies to acquire, discover which new products and technologies will affect the industry, and forecast political or legislative changes that will affect the company. The aim of USB-EDs Competitive Intelligence Workshop is to provide participants with a thorough understanding of the field, its history, its relationship to other functions in the organisation, as well as the tools, skills and techniques required to succeed.
