Ciclo Formativo de Grado Medio

Las características que este ciclo presenta no han variado desde su implantación en este centro hasta nuestros días, es decir, en más de un decenio. El alumnado casi en su totalidad carece de los niveles básicos que les permita enfrentarse con éxito al programa oficial de la Consejería de Educación. Un buen porcentaje de alumnos no terminaron la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y se han incorporado al ciclo a través de las pruebas específicas para tal fin. Otros que sí la terminaron lo hicieron “años ha” con lo que su amnesia prevalece sobre sus recuerdos y conocimientos acerca del módulo que nos ocupa (no se saben el verbo "ai am" y por debajo de esto no existe el inglés). Dicho todo esto, lo único que nos queda por hacer es adaptar los objetivos y contenidos del módulo a la realidad, pathetic, que nos encontramos y con ello evitamos la inevitable escabechina que se produciría si no actuáramos de tal guisa. Por tanto, los objetivos propuestos para este módulo en este ciclo son que el alumnado consiga unas competencias básicas y a ser posible que éstas les permitan acceder a niveles de mayor dificultad más acordes con las necesidades del mundo comercial, sería absurdo empezar la casa por el tejado así que vamos a ponerle los cimientos y con eso vamos “apañaos”.

Las cuatro destrezas se desarrollarán partiendo de “cero absoluto” (como se ha dicho anteriormente, por debajo de esto no existe el inglés), la comprensión y expresión de mensajes orales y escritos serán de nivel elemental; la gramática y el vocabulario que sustentan estos contenidos serán por tanto básicos (vocabulario preferentemente relacionado con temas comerciales como es lógico) y desde aquí todo lo que avancemos bienvenido sea. Entre los contenidos gramaticales se encuentran los verbos primordiales BE y HAVE GOT, los tiempos PRESENTES, PASADO SIMPLE y FUTURO SIMPLE (no se incluyen Perfectos ni Condicionales ni Pasivos), SINGULAR y PLURAL, PRONOMBRES PERSONALES y ADJETIVOS POSESIVOS (no se incluyen Pronombres Posesivos), DEMOSTRATIVOS, CONTABLES e INCONTABLES, PREPOSICIONES de LUGAR y TIEMPO (básicas), ORDEN de las PALABRAS y poco más. Entre los contenidos léxicos estudiaremos vocabulario acorde con sus posibles necesidades comerciales en un futuro incierto, a saber: NÚMEROS (cardinales y ordinales, cifras, cantidades, precios), CALENDARIO y HORARIO, LUGARES PÚBLICOS y TIENDAS, COMPRAS y VENTAS, ROPAS y COLORES, PARTES del CUERPO, PROFESIONES, ADJETIVOS DESCRIPTIVOS, MATERIAL ESCOLAR, DEPORTES y ACTIVIDADES de TIEMPO LIBRE, COMIDA y BEBIDA, DIRECCIONES, INFORMACIÓN PERSONAL y PROFESIONAL, QUEJAS y RECLAMACIONES y en general todos aquellos que sean adecuados para los estudios que están realizando. Entre los contenidos socio-culturales desarrollaremos todos aquellos que nos permitan percibir las similitudes y especialmente diferencias (con ánimo de inculcarles respeto, comprensión y tolerancia) entre las diversas culturas en aspectos tan variados como la VIDA LABORAL y SOCIAL, MODA (tendencias, tallas, precios), TIEMPO y CLIMA (que condiciona en gran medida el comportamiento social y actividades de todo tipo), USO de los MEDIOS de COMUNICACIÓN (MÚSICA en la radio, “reality shows” en TV, códigos en mensajes SMS, “chat rooms” en INTERNET), la EDUCACIÓN (edades y currículos), COSTUMBRES CULINARIAS (comida basura y

otras dietas), FIESTAS y REUNIONES (sociales y laborales), GEOGRAFÍA e HISTORIA (que son determinantes en el idioma y otros muchos aspectos de la conducta humana), la SALUD y el BIENESTAR, la RELIGIÓN, el SENTIDO del HUMOR a veces tan diferenciado y otros temas que puedan ir surgiendo en el diario devenir de nuestras clases.

Formación Profesional Básica El Ciclo de la Formación Profesional Básica está dirigido a aquellos alumnos que han presentado dificultades para alcanzar los objetivos generales de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, a la vez que desean iniciarse en el aprendizaje de un oficio que les facilite el acceso al mercado de trabajo. Esta característica básica hace que nos encontremos con un grupo de alumnos que, en su mayoría, no tienen un conocimiento básico de la Lengua Inglesa, lo que hace que haya que empezar con ellos desde lo más básico de la lengua (numbers, days of the week, spelling…) Al mismo tiempo, los alumnos presentan cierto déficit en la adquisición y desarrollo de capacidades básicas, del mismo modo, a veces, presentan hábitos negativos arraigados, actitud pasiva, comportamientos inadecuados o determinado nivel de absentismo. Por lo tanto, una atención personal más directa es necesaria. Ante estas condiciones, debe de hacerse un esfuerzo especial para superar desde el principio las posiciones de pasividad generadas por la falta de hábitos de trabajo, de confianza en sí mismos y de autonomía en el proceso de aprendizaje. Estas características deben ser destacadas porque determinan el modelo de trabajo a seguir. De modo individual o grupal, el alumno debe ser protagonista activo, no mero receptor, esto da lugar a unos ritmos de aprendizaje, en muchos casos, lentos pero absolutamente necesarios para que los alumnos adquieran tanto hábitos de trabajo como comportamientos sociales adecuados. El libro de texto será un mero instrumento de trabajo y, por este motivo, se utilizará el mismo libro para los dos cursos: 1º FPB, unidades 1-6; 2º FPB, unidades 7-12.
