Part of Alerton’s BACtalk™ Ascent product line, Compass is a powerful, dynamic interface enabling users to monitor and control facilities from anywhere, at any time.

Compass has an improved user and group-specific, tree-style navigation structure that provides intuitive and guided browsing sessions.

Compass provides a familiar user experience through a standard user interface, enabling you to get users quickly up to speed on the software and your building’s systems.

The latest version of Compass also provides access to manage alarms, schedules and trendlogs from a web-based user interface. Access via standard desktop computer, as well as Apple iPad2, iPad-mini, and select Android tablets (such as Nexus mini and Samsung) is now a standard feature.

Graphical controls bring data to life. OmniGraphic images transform background images into interactive controls to visually communicate system status. These easy to understand graphic

images provide operators a clean-view of system operations and performance.

In Compass 1.5, users have better control over OmniZoom and the Point Tool Tips, as well as the ability to place an image on a display or template that has no point binding (i.e. ductwork, pipes, etc.). Along with the new features, 1.5 continues to support many graphic formats and sizes and easily converts Alerton legacy graphics (bitmaps) to the new HTML 5 format, enabling you to quickly integrate graphical content to the web without using Flash and third-party plug-ins.

Note: There is no energy dashboard feature within Compass. Compass with the SQL option supports the Alerton Engineering Services (AES) energy dashboard. For more information about AES services, email aes@alerton.com.

MINIMUM PC SPECIFICATIONS

The following information is a guideline in selecting the minimum PC specifications for the primary Compass Host Workstation on a typical project. Additional memory is recommended for projects that have many concurrent users referencing many displays & templates (i.e. 10 or more users and 100 or more displays and templates.) For secondary Compass Client Workstations, a PC with a dual-core processor and 4GB RAM will suffice for all applications.
