Vincent van GoghBorn March 30th 1853 in Groot-Zundert, Netherlands.

Vincent van Gogh died July 29th, 1890.

Famous for art such as the Starry Night and the Potato Eaters.

He is now considered one of the best artist of all time.

van Gogh became ill later on.

van Gogh spent a faire bit of time in hospital.

Most of his art involved the outdoors.

Never married or had kids.

Was an impressionist artist.

Gustav KlimtDate of Birth: July 14th 1862 Baumgarten, Austria.

Date of Death: February 6th 1918 Vienna, Austria.

Part of the Vienna Succession.

Famous for art works such as The Kiss.

Most of his painting involved women.

On top of painting he also drew.

Never married or had kids.

Founded the Vienna Succession.

Was inspired by artist such as van Gogh

and Matisse.

• Was painted in Saint Remy de Provence.

• He also painted another starry night.

The Kiss1907• Probably Klimt’s most

famous piece of art.• In this painting you can see

a man kissing a women but the women not kissing back.

• It was also influenced by Beethoven's Frieze.

• Was painted at a café witch is now called the Café van Gogh

• He didn’t sign this art but wrote about it.

Adele Bloch-Bauer II1912

• This is Klimt's second portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, the other one was mostly painted in yellow.

• When painting this art Klimt was probably influenced by Matisse when he saw his work in 1909.

• This was created at the Hague in the Netherlands.

• van Gogh also painted other paintings of rooftops.

• This piece of art by Klimt was inspired Vincent van Gogh as you can see they are almost the same.

• In this image you can see a walkways with trees on both sides leading to a building.

Both of the artist lived at the same time.

Most of their artwork isn't in that much detail.

Klimt was inspired by van Gogh.

Both didn’t marry or have kids.

For some of the paintings there styles where the same.

Both artist are internationally know for the art that they created one style or another.

Both painted portraits.

Contrast

They live in different regions of Europe.

Where part of different art movements.

Most of the time Klimt’s art had other drawings inside the art. While van Gogh just had the painting.

van Gogh finished his life in a hospital bed while Klimt kept painting at his home.

Van Gogh painted a lot of the outdoors, while Klimt mostly painted women.
