Mobile VAS Payment Solutions used by Noatel

Noatel S.p.A. works with three different payment solutions, all accepted by main mobile operators:

1. Mobile Terminated Billing: customer pays the weekly cost of the subscription every time he received content by text (usually a maximum of 3 texts per week). Service is automatically renewed until the user cancels the service.

2. Direct Billing: the customer pays to use the content located on a mobile site and Noatel receives money during the week without further notice to the customer. This is the most common solution to offer a subscription service.

3. One shot: is an on-demand solution. In this case the customer pays only one time, when he wants the content.

How Customer gets Noatel services: mobile user experience buying

1) Customer sees Noatel service in display banner while browsing on his mobile. Clicking on the banner he will arrive to the mobile home page of “Doctor Game”.

2) Customer gets more information about the service (of the product and pricing etc) and can then chose to subscribe by clicking in “CLICCA E ABBONATI” (en:"CLICK AND GET SUBSCRIPTION").

3) When customer activates the subscription he receives a short message on his mobile that informs him about the subscription activated, pricing and how to deactivate the service.

Below illustrates how the customer can buy Noatel service from his mobile telephone. As you can see is very easy: a click is enough to get the subscription. For example: Doctor Game. This is a service that permits the customer to have unlimited access to the games portal with 6 € per week. The subscription is renewable automatically every week and the customer can deactivate the subscription at any time.

4) Welcome page. Now customer has a subscription and he can play games from his computer or mobile.

This kind of user experience buying is possible because Noatel has an agreement with carriers in order to automatically read the user’s mobile number. When the customer arrives to the mobile home page, the

operator recognizes the url of the service and lets Noatel to see the number.

1. Marketing Team presents the new service to all mobile operators in order to

receive approval of pricing, business model and content quality .

2. Technical Team: Noatel engineers configure the service to the informatic

platform and then make an initial test to try the service.

3. Marketing Team builds for the new service: visual identity, advertising

campaign and content. The content and App are made in the same office.

4. Marketing Team contacts digital agencies in order to launch the service with a

specific advertising solution.

Noatel S.p.A. distributes the services and it works with the majors web and mobile agencies all over the world. These agencies are usually specialized in digital advertising solutions, as display banner campaigns for example.
